For the topic about parents making the final decision on your choices, especially careers, I think it's very frequently shown with immigrant/minority parents in general. In my case, my parents are Palestinian and Mexican and they always tell me to be in a higher field instead of something I actually want to do. it feels like I do owe them this even if I won't enjoy it just because they gave me a better life than they had. friends I've had and also online you notice this a lot and go more extreme

Yea my parents rly push the idea of how unrealistic it is to end up loving your job, so if what you want to pursue will have a higher chance of giving me a stable income and future, then of course pursue it, but if not just find something that will and plays to your strengths and have hobbies that will give you that joy.

I feel like shy guy and social girl is what we see often but not all of them are successful in my opinion when everyone finds out about the shy guy. Eventually he gets the attention and it gets to his head, more often than not, they can end up changing and the social girl is no longer interested. However, shy girl and social guy is what I feel like we see less of and are more successful because in my perspective, social guy might be more considerate and more loud in showing their affection to their shy girl partner which I feel like most shy girls appreciate in a more social or extroverted guy. I also feel like shy girls can be a bit more secure about their partners compared to shy guys. The social guy probably knows a better difference between being friendly and being flirty too, social boundaries, hence being social. This is also very general and does not apply to every dynamic duo but I do see these situations occurring on TikTok and ig so this is my cumulative conclusion based on my observations. I feel like the most successful relationships in general is when the guy and girl are both social tbh.

i’ve always been very extroverted, and when i have conversation with people i always engage, which has lead for a lot of people i’m not interested in to assume i was hitting on them and try to hit on me or dm me.. my ex always said i was too nice to people, and than people will always assume i’m flirting with them if i’m friendly, which i never noticed till he pointed out how others would interrupt it so i can understand, he’s extroverted with people he’s close with but overall a “shy” guy and i’m very social, it never effected our relationship accept for when we broke up and he said he thought so many people would hit on me lol
