Can you beat ALL Monster Camps BEFORE the first Blood Moon??

The blood moon is Breath of the Wilds main way of replenishing the world full of enemies after lots of battles against the player...but what if we were able to clear all 54 of the main camps before the very first one? Considering this event happens just nearly 3 hours into the game, this isn't gonna be an easy task - but shall be a fun challenge nonetheless!! I hope you all enjoy :)

@@paulrance5445 Not true actually. I had my wiiu running botw for a few days straight, and I got a random blood moon during the day. So it is possible, and they probably become more frequent the more random junk is left behind in ram, hence why you see it more often when the game is modded.

I did something like this. I killed all Taluses, Hinoxes, Moldugas, Lynels, and most of the Guardians but I delayed the blood moon by staying in shrines and hyrule castle.

I have been living that life as well along with no guardians as well for about 2 years now. I have been trying to kill even all minor enemies during 23hr day trips away from the castle. The game does not like it though. I get the sudden and back to back blood moons. Then i just reload my hard save and have fun again. Sometimes i let the blood moon go just to have fun hunting the mini bosses again.

@@theskywalker8416 after you go into a shrine right before a blood moon, it’ll reset the timer, giving you another 3 hours or so of bloodmoonless gameplay. If you do certain actions, the game can’t handle them and will force a blood moon to happen

I remember that I used to skip the blood moon by entering a sanctuary at the last moment. The Blood moon just waits to next the next night for some reason.

Because the blood moon is used to save the game as well, so if it doesn't work properly, it glitches the game. So that's why it goes off the next night, so that it can save as fast as possible.

@@fakeAratPrime to provide a little more detail, the game remembers what effects you've had on the world, the enemies you've killed, the loose items you've picked up, etc. However, there's a limit to how much the game can remember, at least the way they designed it, and so one function the Blood Moon provides is to reset everything so that the game can "forget" all of those details. It's also probably a game design function as well. The world would become too barren over time if things didn't reset.

I remember when I first started botw and heard about "hyrule being overrun by monsters" I actually planned to kill all of them and free the land, so I killed all the enemies on the great plateau, but then one day as I was skipping the night at a campfire I got the blood moon cutscene. At first I thought Zelda was going to remind me to get my shit together and actually progress the story... needless to say, I was very disappointed lol

Considering there are runs for doing certain things before other things happen in other games, a "kill as many as you can before Blood Moon" run could be interesting (extend from monster camps to adding bosses and more, with a shrineless run so there's two different runs between clearing the map and "how many can you kil" 🤔 )

You never get a blood moon during The Isolated Plateau (I thought the bomb shrine was a guardian and was there for 75 hours) but when you complete it the blood moon will happen that night if you were there for at least 2 hours 48 minutes

@Justin Powers 2:48:15 is the amount of time without menus before blood moon, so I’m not wrong. Blood moon is on a timer. Since I was way over the time, it had to give it the same night.

I would have loved the option for the blood moon to stop after beating the game. Being able to destroy all monsters for good. I just want a post game in zelda. A post evil world.(that would probably be a lot of work for the devs though)

this was super cool, recently I got the idea for myself about trying to start the game and take out all the monster camps. But I'm still working on my 100% first playthrough, I had no idea how many camps there were, never tried windbombs, wasn't even thinking about the blood moon, had no plan and I even learned several combat tricks from this video, even though I thought I was pretty well versed in combat. I will refer back to this video if I decide to try it myself
