Can You Beat Elden Ring With Only Sorcery?

I try to beat Elden Ring and all its bosses, but since there are too many bosses I decided that taking down all that have a Remembrance was enough, using only sorcery, even though this is a game based mostly on melee combat. This challenge run should be doable, since this game allows you to regain focus using cerulean tear flasks, meaning you can cast as much as you want, you just have to not get hit.
I didn't know if a tutorial video or a challenge video that assumes you know the game was better, so I did a bit of both.

I actually love the scaling of things right now for PvE, I haven’t played much PvP, but I’ve seen some not so fun ways to die via exploitation and “broken” scaling while watching streamers. Not sure how I feel yet on PVP scaling since I haven’t had much exposer, but if I’m being honest I enjoy the more realistic feel that a laser kamehameha will destroy pretty much everything

I just did, and I am quite unhappy with the story telling of the game. With over 100hrs into the game and story fully complete, I am still unable to put together many parts of the story.

@@sar3388 story and lore are different things, the story is you are the MC working to becoming an elden lord meaning you know as much as you know during your adventure. Also you didn't beat the game.

19:45 its actually a pre-set spell, so Ranni just left the spell to protect her mother, so youre fighting a ""clone"" or something like that, but when Rennala just gives her rune for you, theres no reason to kill the real rennala

I learned recently if you kill the sketchy commoner near the main gate you won't get locked in...because he's the one who closes it.

@@oddlyanas4200 To be honest...the gate entrance isn't that good anyway. Maybe for speedrunning to Godrick but you miss a lot of items and you're very likely to get pelted by ballista and arrows.

A thing I recommend to all new sorcerers is to find the magic turtle in the church of vows, then replace pebble with blade, enemies dodge you when you cast so they evade nothing and then get hit. With some baiting you can also bypass big shields. Update: For spicy spellblade gameplay, farm the glintstone blade swords carried by the Raya Lucaria swordmages (I do two for a gladiator style mage) . The pebble is much better than the spell in practicality and damage, it combos into a strong thrust and the swords themselves have minor stat requirements. It's one of my personal top weapons for sorcerer.

Its also very good for battles with ranged enemies if you have any cover, because you summon it above your head you can hit them but they cant hit you. Made Preceptor Miriam a joke

i just want to point out that the magic bow is actually incredibly good as an opener on unaware enemies, fully charged it's just about the largest single hit magic thing you can do.... on bosses though.... yeah, probably a pass.

Something I found out that everyone probably already knows is that the enemies that dodge all of your spells can’t dodge the magic glintblade spell because since the spell is delayed they will dodge the activation of the spell and not the projectile so when you cast it they will dodge but when it actually fires they won’t dodge and will get hit

The au is set to dodge on cast, so any spell that has a delay with homing will mess them up. Star Shower is excellent.

Swift glintstone shard can be used while at a faster speed on torrent. You can get the academy scroll and give it to the turtle at the church if vows in liurnia of the lakes. The scroll is near the first site of grace in a graveyard in Liurnia so it’s pretty quick to get and really useful for combat from torrent. It’s also really cheap fp wise.
