I agree with you so much, the challenge runs with restrictions that require creative thinking, designing routes, and overcoming obstacles are much more interesting than "I can use only weapon X that is very good early but very bad late" and is basically the same video as others but with slightly different move set.

A similar challange idea I've had for years is something from fallout 4 (though can probably apply to all fallout games) is a challange where you beat the game without using anything from the old world, not including mandatory quest items , so all healing items you have to grow and make yourself, all weapons and outfits you must gather material and craft yourself, the goal is to prove that despite the world ending , humanity can learn to thrive and overcome without having to use the leftovers of the past

I just finished the video. I love the comedy and the creativity of the run. Once again, you knocked it out of the park in terms of production quality. Overall, fantastic job. I can't wait to see what you work on next. Plus, I love seeing some of the passion for animals come through in your content; it gives us a little bit of personality to go along with the amazing content. I'm curious: what other types of games do you enjoy, and do you have any plans to cover things outside of the Souls series? Also, a small tip for Gwendolyn because you were having a few issues if he does the soul mass hug the pillars tight. Run and roll through the soul spears and crossbow shots and you'll have tons of time to punish

What a fun idea for a run! You were harder on yourself than I would have been,, in that i would count the lava of chaos pyromancies as separate from regular fire, and I would count dark sorceries as their own thing too. Maybe for Halloween do a spooky run where you can only use items (weapons, armor, and spells) made from bones or that specifically say they're evil or scary like the evil eye ring or the server. Maybe you need to kill all major bosses, like lord soul bosses, with a different spooky weapon or evil magic. That or like a vampire run where you can only heal with lifesteal effects? I could see it being fun in any of the games, really.

I counted 17 for that one boss. Also, you should make up a Minecraft challenge run. You could start with the unupgraded warpick (pickaxe) and leather armor, after you "mine" in the depths or blighttown you could upgrade to an iron axe and armor, and then when you reach Dukes Archives, you can use crystal (diamond) weapons and the crystal armor set for the rest of the game.
