I know exactly what keeps happening with the "getting a crit but the enemy takes no damage" thing. You're hitting their weapon, so the damage is applied to the condition of their weapon, not their health.

9:03 You can absolutely have a peaceful option between the NCR and The Brotherhood Basically just do all of the Brotherhood quests and the option will show up for peace by talking too Colonel Moore. I'm not sure if you have to change Elders for it too work but the Fallout wiki will explain it better then I did

I just looked it up, turns out it only works if you leave McNamara as the elder which would explain why I never knew about it as I usually have him replaced by Hardin to get the power armour training a lot faster lol

Colonel Moore gets upset with this outcome too, preferring you eliminate them but ultimately accepting the aid at hoover damn. the kahns are the ones you need to replace leaders for them to team up with the ncr. its pretty neat to get all factions to show up at the damn fight including the enclave just for you to end with Yes-Man

Using unique variants is fine I think. The problem with pushing the "Can you beat the game only using X" as far as possible does, as you said, have the risk of then just making it so the player just avoids all combat altogether if at all possible, which kind of defeats the purpose of the run. Unique variants are still the weapon the challenge is about, they just make the runs a bit more tolerable, and honestly more fun for both the viewer and the player. :)

Yeah I think in future I may be more open to using them, I have a video I'm not long done getting the footage for that is another weapon challenge (No spoilers don't worry) but in it I didn't use the unique variant simply because it would have been too good in my eyes lol

I have a few ideas, the main issue is Fallout 4 crashes all the time for me on Steam to the point where trying to record is a real pain, so I'm planning at some point to get a capture card and just record it off my Series X version as I was playing it the other day and it runs amazingly now on the next gen systems

Did you know that the Legendary BB gun crit. with all the perks that boost criticals and luck, rivals the critical damage of a sniper rifle with the BB gun doing a max of 109 and the sniper rifle doing a max of 137 I do believe, check the wiki and you'll see, it's been a while since I checked but you'll see... BB gun.

fun fact you can play at the casino in prim it just takes so long and barely anyone ever returns to the casino people rarely use it you have to return law to the town leave for a few days roughly 3-4 then return and enter the casino where ncr ddeserters who will try to mug you you can ether kill them or speach your way out and the leave and wait anout 3-4 days only then can you use the casino

Ive actually done this exact run before and finesse, bloody mess are your best friends. Likewise so are the magazine perks. True Police Stories is amazing with Abilene's and is definitely worth spec into on a bb gun only run. You can literally one or two shot every thing using those magazines and a luck build.

To get caps I always just exploited the Legion Assassin spawns and sold their weapons, I managed to get 76,000-ish caps in almost 3 hours hours. Then attempted to take on Lonesome Road at Level 12 with only a Plasma Rifle and a Fat Man... FUN

Saw the Kowalski video before this and had to watch it, first time on your channel for me and love the content so far Also as someone who is biased towards the NCR myself and takes that route almost every playthrough you can actually make peace and enlist with the brotherhood, you just have to make sure you finish all the BOS quests and when colonel Moore gives the quest you can talk to elder macnarmara(not sure about if you replace him) and you'll force colonel Moores hand to be buddys

Fun fact, the biggest damage upgrade from a perk for the BB gun is cowboy at +1, where bloody mess and lord death give +0.2, and thought you died gives +0.4

by this point you know there are merchants that sell large amounts of ammo, like the great khan merchant or quartermaster brandon, but they all require some quests. there is another: in camp mccaran, head into the concourse and further down into the supply shack. he always has a ridiculous amount of ammo and starts selling chems and even better weapons if you finish his quest

I started my first play through of New Vegas a few weeks ago and my god I did the most weird play through ever. Instead of going the easy way I decided to take a small route towards New Vegas. I only ran into 3 Radscorpians and met 0 Deathclaws. I cheated my way to New Vegas by killing one of the guards then running away to take a key from the guard. I then proceeded to run pass the guards and entered the Lucky 77 or whatever it was called. I completed some of Mr Houses quest and then proceeded to go the fort and pretended to be friends of the Caesar. I then prematurely killed him and all his legionnaires. For the rest of the game all I heard on the radio was. “Caesar had been assassinated by an unknown party!”

Squeaking through to the strip with a level 1 character is the best. Theres a route i take through Sloan to Black Mountain to Repconn HQ that's pretty reliable. Plus if you're building an energy weapons character, Repconn HQ has a unique plasma rifle that is basically free

BB gun challenges are always fun! But I was wondering how fun would it be to have a run where you can only use what Doc Mitchel gives you. I don't know if it would only count what he hands to you that is yours, or every single thing he let's you take. So it would be either Original Courier equipment run (DLC counts). Doc Mitchel's Charity Run. The worst thing would be having to manage the equipment for it would be more challenging if you couldn't fix them, so you would cycle through them all.

I think this challenge counts, the albeline bb gun can be a very terrible gun if you built your character not around it, it can be very good if you build it right but if not it's basically just a bb gun with a cool name. Like shotguns without the *stay back* perk
