One of my favorite designs is Linkite. It is a substitute doll (because it forgot its own appearance in life) chained to a Pokéball (because it died in a Pokéball). To evolve it, you have to trade it. Then it becomes a nightmare-fuel monstrosity who "seeks revenge on the trainer who abandoned it", the person who traded it away. Really cool concept.

The level jumps in Uranium are crazy. And it’s actually pretty hard. There’s a ton of grinding you need to do, along with smart battling. My final team was something like Nucleon, Garlikid, Seikamater, Inflagetah, Metalynx I added a Yatagaryu for the postgame

1:58 - By trading with yourself via the use of multiple files you can start the game with any Pokemon while only taking part in 2 mandatory battles. Though, level-wise, the only way to get a Nuclear at an appropriate level is by trading the MG Nuclear Pahar/Hazma since they're the only ones you can get that are around lv5. Even so, since disobedience is baked into nuclear types, it won't take long for opponents to start becoming more than you could handle even if you brought in one from Epsilon. 11:07 - I tested this multiple times and I could not get this to happen even once. Either the circumstances required to trigger this are very strict, or it was fixed in the 1.2.5 update. 11:29 - Clever... That's one of those things that's easy to forget. I literally just used HP Ground on a Super Effective target even though neutral STAB Psychic would've done more damage a few minutes ago while watching this. 14:57 - Me: (Hears "My ass medic") (Looks closer at the name and realizes that it could also be read as "My Ass, Me Dick") That's the fastest a Pokemon name has been ruined for me, as well as, in part, *BY* me... 18:00 - Speaking of which, if it seemed like the Water and Fire Gyms were harder, it's because they were. The game had a glitch that made Seikamater's Elementalist Ability not boost Electric-Type attacks as it should, and apply the boost to Fire and Water moves to *ALL* Pokemon in the game. However, thankfully, the game *FINALLY* got a new patch for the first time in nearly half a decade that fixed that glitch so the game is *MUCH* more balanced on that front as a result. (Among many other changes, it also added the ability to skip the intro for those who have already beaten the game, which helps save a good amount of time.) 18:58 - I've been playing this game for years and this is my first time seeing that because I've played with battle animations off 99.9% of the time. 26:12 - My guess is you were looking at the Wiki page and mistook Mega Syrentide's stats with its normal form and assumed you wouldn't be able to get over its giant Sp DEF booty.

I know this is 2 years after you made this comment, but! Disobedience technically isn't baked into nuclear! It's only baked into nuclear FORMS! Pokemon that are naturally nuclear- ie, Hazma, Geigeroach, Xenomite line, Nucleon, are totally obedient from the get-go.

In retrospect, I probably should've mentioned Hazma, Geigeroach, or Xenomite because, while they can be bred to be low-level and lack the feral disobedience downside, they would still be subject to disobedience via overleveling because they would be traded Pokemon, and Hazma/Geigeroach's stats, typing, and/or movepool might've made the game sufficiently challenging. (Xenomite would be out of the question though since, in addition to having a much better movepool and stats, the Aftermath ability is STILL glitched and OP.)

I liked this game, however, i feel like nuclear type was poorly implemented. The no obey mechanic makes it unusable for most of the game (except nucleon) and being super effective against everything but steel type makes it so most things are x4 weak against it. I was able to cheese the very hard endgame by spaming choice scarf nuclear type hyper voice with nucleon

It's much better with Hyper Voice and Choice Specs. The ability to make normal moves nuclear also gives a damage boost, so you deal like a base damage of 340 or something, it's been a while

Let the record show that, yes, CGA is correct in their assessment here 14:19 that Nucleon is unambiguously *BROKEN* in this game. *HOWEVER,* this challenge was undertaken over two *YEARS* before the introduction of v1.3.1. Prior to this version of the game, not only would CGA be contending with the standard feral Nuclear disobedience mechanic, but feral Nuclear Pokemon did *NOT* learn new Nuclear-Type moves. At all. None. That means most Pokemon were stuck with moves as weak as _Gamma Ray,_ and many of them didn't learn moves that were consistent with their stat specialization. Which made this challenge *MUCH* harder around the midpoint. It's also worth noting that even without Nucleon to make the journey less of a pain in the ass, the introduction of better feral Nuclears that could be cured, and other non-feral Nuclears like Xenomite meant that the endgame would've had a lot of options to choose from. So while Nucleon is definitely still the best, the only thing denying its use would've had on the challenge would've been time. Eventually, it would definitely be possible to assemble a team of Nuclears to win the game, it would just have been a question of how long it would take to get there. So taking a bit of a shortcut isn't that bad. Especially since it's not like CGA just bred 6 Eevees and made a team of Nucleons and completely abandoned using any others.

I would think nuclear should be neutral against electricity and maybe fire, no effect or neutral against poison, and not very effective against ground (cause radioactive waste used to be placed underground)

Get a half nuclear and half steel type pokemon and you have a really good typing. With a double resistance to nuclear and a normal resistance against poison. It would also get 4 times weakness to fight, fire and ground. But in turn would loose most of the weaknesses from the nuclear type taking now neutral hits from normal, bug, flying, rock, steel, grass, psychic, ice, dragon, fairy As dark, ghost, water and Electric are still very effectiv. And your stab nuclear attacks would be very effectiv against all other types besides nuclear and steel. But a ground move like earthquake, to deal with steel types, most mons can learn especially steel type mons can learn earthquake and other ground type moves.

I know this is an old comment, but the only Nuclear / Steel type is an unobtainable nuclear form. I won't say any in-game story context to it due to major spoilers, but even if you could catch it, it'd only be possible in the endgame or post-game as its nuclear form is only in one encounter in the entire game and is uncatchable, even if found in a randomizer.

I was kind of expecting you to use some sort of glitch or exploit to get a Nuclear Type earlier than you were supposed to, at least before the first gym. But you didn't, so...no. The answer is "No, you cannot beat Pokemon Uranium using ONLY Nuclear Types." All the same, I love to see this absolute gem of a game get some attention, and it was a good rapid playthrough that showcased lots of the stuff that sets this game apart from the official ones. Plus, your commentary was entertaining. So all in all, nice one!
