I am no where near GM or masters level of gameplay, I spent a lot of time figuring out strategies for some of the harder missions, others were easy or i had the right strategy from the get go. As for more videos i have the next run recorded, wanted to edit and make the voice over during the Christmas holidays but one of my unexpected presents was Covid so no video for a while.

I hate to tell you this but if you go with Predition Turrets insted of the fortress you can actually kill the trains and open a few more quests...

I plan to give the perdition turrets a try, but to be honest i´m not sure that they get far into the campagin.

@@Moon_rts maybe do it by itself and then go to the next Odin quests with fortress if that is working better. The run doesn't have to be 100% pure, if it's just for entertainment no one would mind a few different saves glued together.

So i was playing around with the Kerrigan trap on brutal the other day, and i was able to get her over to the cliff for a few seconds, but she kept repositioning so she could start blasting again, did you find she would do that, and if so any advice on what i can do about it?

i used armor upgrades in a couple of mission like maw of the void and all healers arent that useful since scvs are pretty bad at fighting stuff.

did you try Perdition Turrets in Great Train Robbery? I saw GGG melt trains pretty easily with those in some run or another, though i'm not sure if it will be possible to set up a critical mass of them before you lose 3 trains

I think i´ve tried them and was sure that i need at least orbital command and scv reactor to get enough money together and even then it might not be enough. Also going for perdition turrets changes my entire strategy for most missions around and im not too sure about my chances with some of the last missions like all in or maw of the void in particular. I´ll eventually give them a try though.

apologies if I missed it, were you not using autorepair on purpose? By autorepair I mean select SCV -> ALR+R. I did notice that you often salvage bunkers instead of repairing, maybe it is cheaper to rebuild than repair?

auto repair disrupts combat when i attack move, scvs prioritize repair over attacking when its active but i leave it active on most missions. Salvaging bunkers and rebuilding is indeed cheaper in the campaign because you get the full 100 minerals back when you salvage so any damage is "repaired" for free when its rebuilt, which was immensely helpful in havens fall, that mission wouldn't have been be possible without this.

Does breaking Kerrigan work on normal difficulty? She just walks away from the flying building and then starts attacking it again. Maybe her AI works differently on normal? Or am I doing the trick wrong?

it is a incredibly precise trick and the building has to be over a bit of terrain where kerrigan cant stand directly under it. the left side has a really nice spot i was able to get her stuck fairly consistently ( like in the video) you just have to try it a while and get the position right, i spent a couple of hours finding the right spots to do it.

Wait, if you able to separate the hunter killers from Kerrigan, and then break her. Then have the hydras hyper focus on your buildings like at 24:55 that they would block the path preventing further units from going to the artifact. Assuming there are no other units that have higher push priorities than hydra, isn't that would make pacifist a slight bit more possible?

hunter killers dont appear on normal(Grant played on this difficulty) difficulty which makes it easier to break kerrigan, but there still is too much zerg after some time. there are also two big problems for the hyper focus strategy and thats zerglings and other zerg waves not focused that will chew through your base.
