I misplayed Anabel so badly again... [spoiler below] My plan that I thought of ages ago was to stall thunderbolt and NOT leech seed raikou. Really love this series, but I have a question on this one: Are you sure Cradily gets Curse in Gen 3? It does from Gen 4 onwards, but I can't find any method for Gen 3 (other than hacking of course). I checked your stream and Showdown actually said the move was illegal when you created the set.

I used another team to beat Grass, but it also involves luck and took me a long time too (but attempts are faster): - Ludicolo (F) @ Lum Berry, Swift Swim 154HP/252SpA/104Spe, Modest, IV 0Atk Rain Dance, Surf, Ice Beam, Giga Drain - Sceptile (M) @ Choice Band, Overgrow 4HP/252Atk/32SpA/220Spe, Lonely Earthquake, Aerial Ace, Brick Break, Leaf Blade - Breloom (M) @ Salac Berry, Effect Spore 252Atk/6SpD/252Spe, Jolly, IV 30Atk, 30 SpD Spore, Endure, Reversal, HP Ghost ~ Needs experience to determine whether to Rain Dance or not. ~ Dodrio/Fearow: Sac Ludi, Endure with Breloom ~ Heracross: Rain Dance hope Megahorn miss, Sceptile revenge kill ~ Crobat worst matchup: Rain Dance (survives a Sludge Bomb), Surf, Breloom Endure then Spore for more outs ~ Anabel 2: Rain Dance, Surf until dies, Aerial Ace revenge kill, chip Latios until die, Breloom Endure then sweep.

@@taylorhillard4868 For Fighting I used a bulky Machamp with Thief, Scary Face, Foresight and Mud-slap. This allows Breloom to use Spore freely. From there, you have multiple options to gain momentum with setup. I played around with 2 different sets. 1. Breloom with Spore, Swords Dance, Substitue, HP Rock & Endure-Salac Heracross with Reversal, Rock Slide, HP Bug as a last resort. 2. Breloom with Spore, Substitute, Charm, Leech Seed and Medicham @ Salac Berry with Bulk Up, Substitute, Brick Break and Shadow Ball to sweep. This is the team that I made it with in the end.

In case you want any ideas for the ground type challenge: Swampert / Careful / Chesto berry / 252 HP / 252 SPF / 4 ATK / Curse, EQ, Hidden Power Flying, Rest Steelix / (Sturdy) / Careful / Leftovers / 252 HP / 252 SPF / 4 ATK / EQ, Iron Tail, Rollout, Protect/Defense Curl Flygon / Adamant / Choice Band / 252 SPD / 252 ATK / HP / EQ, Rock slide, Hidden power Flying, Flamethrower Swampert should carry the team. Obviously set up with curse, heal with rest, and sweep with EQ/ hidden power flying. Skarmory is the only thing that will give you trouble, aside from grass types. If you run into grass or skarmory, switch to steelix. EQ is good for most things, iron tail is good for cradily/armaldo/aerodactyl, and rollout is for skarmory. Steelix is tanky enough to get a good rollout combo going. Protect for slaking and extra healing. Defense curl for accelerating rollout combos. Flygon is the revenge killer in case swampert gets knocked out / the EQ dodger. Flamethrower is for the odd skarmory. Ideally you still have steelix to switch into to reset your choice from choice band. This team is highly vulnerable to curselax and cursemory that sets up with Swampert and if they get a critical against swampert, it's game over. Other than that, you'll find that swampert pretty much dominates everything.

Turns out, mono grass is much easier when you have access to thick fat Venusaur like I did in my battle tree run. It's a really tricky type with a lot of weaknesses.

In my opinion you should only have 3 tries at winning the battle tower. If you don't win after 3 tries then you fail it. This makes it more interesting.
