Great to see the series finally back! This was my team from months ago. It took many tries too (Ground is so hard; I tried other facilities and Ground also had a tough time), and I had to speed up the game to increase the number of attempts. -Flygon (M) @ Liechi Berry, Levitate 12HP/244Atk/252Spe, Hasty Earthquake, Rock Slide, Substitute, Flamethrower -Dugtrio (F) @ Choice Band, Arena Trap 4HP/252Atk/36SpD/216Spe, Adamant Earthquake, Rock Slide, Aerial Ace, Fissure -Quagsire (M) @ Chesto Berry, Water Absorb 252HP/6Def/252SpD, Bold Curse, Rest, Earthquake, Toxic -Substitute x3 activates Liechi Berry for hopefully a sweep; Flamethrower Physical walls. -For Water types, switch into Quagsire and hope to abuse Water Absorb. -Dugtrio tries to revenge kill, but to be honest its Attack is quite subpar. -I was only able to win because I hit Fissure onto Anabel's Snorlax on Round 5. For Anabel 2, Flygon swept the first two since it outspeeds, and then Dugtrio managed to 3HKO the Snorlax before it could heal. -I chose Rock Slide instead of HP Rock to get additional power and some Flinch chances; the logic was: since I had to rely on luck anyway, might as well give myself some outs against tough foes. Fighting type is tough too, but it isn't that bad with the right combinations.

Always good to see other people trying it. I shared my teams with Chris (after he got stuck) and I actually completed it with the Claydol, Flygon, Swampert team he presented. Twice. But it took many attempts and it is not a very reliable team (but fun to play). So I went back to the drawing board and came up with the team that he presented here. The attempts took long but it was successful quite soon for both me and him. Actually I also won with Whiscash in the Claydol slot (Amnesia Tickle instead of Cosmic Power Flash) but it was much less reliable in general. I just found it funny that I could win with 3 pokemon sharing a 4x (Grass) weakness :p. Edit: in case you want more challenges: try "only status moves", "only non-fully evolved (acc to Gen 3 dex)" or "Fairy type', or just try beating it with as low BST as possible.

I completed that but it was pretty unreliable. I used Granbull lead to debuff, Mr Mime to stall and baton pass DT, and finally Azumarill with Belly Drum as a sweeper.

hey for fighting it is possible to get a medicham with calm mind bulk up baton pass and there are a few fighting that get mud slap like hariyama and breloom, but fighting may not be super good vs all the latias and latios though, unless a more offensive set with pure power bulk up shadow ball is used or heracross but yeah fighting type was the one i thought would be hardest, mostly due to bad movepools on most of them

On paper Fighting is really bad, but there's a way to beat it if the lead is chosen correctly. I won't spoil it until he came up with the video, but the lead I chose could take almost any attack and drop the foe's speed. Then something will put everything to sleep and set up...

​@@hp8675won fighting once myself, it was bad, on a legit cart using hariyama breloom and an adamant 4iv medicham I couldn't have won without luck and physical shadow ball. I wanted sub punch to work better than it did for me, but I did far less pp stalling than these videos do

Beated it with Machamp starter to lower accuracy/speed, Spore sub protect Breeloom to stall pp and a bulk up set up Medicham

@@andresr5634Yup. But I didn't have the patience to stall out all the moves, so I instead put Swords Dance on Breloom to sweep, leaving a Salac Endure Heracross at the back in case things went south.

​@@hp8675I did something similar, but went with Breloom with Spore Sub Bulk Up HP Rock, which could set up on most things after Scary Face, Thief, Foresight support from bulky Machamp. And then went with Reversal Medicham as plan B, as imo it is just a straight up better Reversal sweeper than Heracross.

He has done a few tries. No succes so far. I did complete it myself but found it surprisingly difficult as all the options are pretty mediocre, and there is no super-reliable sweeper

I am currently trying "pokemon that can still evolve" challenge and "status move only" challenge. Both seem viable but quite painful. But there are more challenges to play in the battle tower. I think there are other formats that are more enjoyable for Chris at some point though
