It's the same as being 250 pounds. It is an addiction to food. Pretty much every single one of these stories reveals a traumatic past that has not been treated in therapy. I've lost 200 pounds but that only came after a lot of therapy and it still is a daily decision to hold myself accountable and be honest with myself about what I'm eating. I don't think I could've lost the weight without therapy to treat my trauma.

@iirekm

@@inesnaglic472 In Western world food is not that expensive. Housing is the most expensive thing (renting, buying or paying mortgage). Anyway, it's sick if someone from family feeds so obese people. The American Cancer society says that 45% of cancer deaths are attributed to "modifiable" behaviors. As you can imagine, the vast majority of lung cancer fits this category. Half the cirrhosis deaths in the US are from alcoholism. People who get injured from riding a motorcycle, driving drunk, doing whatever daredevil feat. People who know they have serious illnesses but don't take care of them end up on dialysis, blind, or disabled by strokes and amputations.

I would love to finally have my sleeve done. I have to go 60 days without a seizure before I can start the program and have gotten past it only once. February 13, I was at 36 days seizure free when I had 5 in the waiting room of my primary doctors office. My first seizure on the floor, I was taken to the hospital for observation because when I landed on the floor I landed on my VERY large hernia (Stella). I can't have Stella removed until I have the stomach surgery because it's a ZERO survival rate. I'm constantly in pain, it's hard to walk, and the depression is so hard sometimes to deal with. I just wished someone would say, "come on, we can help you do do this!" I have amazing health insurance but I'm too high risk. I'm 61 and really want to have this surgery before it kills me!

It’s easy to judge. The solution seems simple to someone who has not been in a similar situation. I was 350lbs and it is a vicious cycle. Once you are too big to move freely, the weight skyrockets. It makes you feel like a prisoner in your own body. The weight loss is so slow and it is easy to get discouraged by setbacks and just give up. I lost ~170lbs but it was never ever easy. It’s been 12 years and keeping my weight off for me is still a daily struggle. Being addicted to something that you also need to survive.. it almost feels like a cruel joke at times. If you have never dealt with these things, congrats! I hope for your sake you never will.

I will confess during the holidays I maintained my weight and floated between 230-235. I’m now almost below 200 lbs and am looking forward to summer vacation while looking way healthier and better. Then I got laid off, denied unemployment and fell into a depression. Stopped working out and just ate hot and readys from little caesars everyday because they were only 5 bucks smh....I went right back up to 286. I started again in January and I'm now down to 259. It's coming off slower this time, but I'm determined. I have the same goal weight of 180, but if I can just get under 200 I would be over the moon

The thing that really baffles me here is there is a point when these people can not get food for themselves, so their food is being brought to them by others. SO STUPID!!! Why would you continue to over feed someone? Definitely some codependency going on here.

I do not believe the weights they claim these people are. So many of them are 100-300 lbs or more than this video says they are. Closer to 800-900 lbs. They are HUMONGOUS. Also, can’t they use real people instead of computer voices to narrate these things? The way Dr Now’s name is pronounced is unforgivable. Geez.😳🙄
