After you spray the shirt with your chemical what you do is you put it under the heat press and you press it at 400° for 15 seconds then wait 1 to 2 minutes put your transfer on the shirt and then press it at for 30 seconds you will then have no issues with the blotching and the difference in colors as well as all the issues that you were talking about the reason that you had those issues is when you press the shirt it wasn't fully dry from that chemical and when you pressed it the heat evaporated that chemical and cause the ink the sublimation ink to follow the pattern of evaporation and therefore that's why you had the blotching issues but if you make sure that it is dry and pressed you should bypass all those issues I have done it in the past and it works out excellent everybody says 400 temp and 60 sec. That is a no-brainer go to temperature and time so it sort of works on everything but you don't get get best results with those times and temperatures sublimation ink sublimates best at 400°, and the duration of time for best results is anywhere from 17 seconds to 35 seconds once you go over those times you're actually causing your ink to fade and lose its bright colors that's why some people sublimate at 350 or even lower temperatures at longer times but if you want a more precise you have to run tests every polyester and cotton is different thicknesses so the best way is if you have your own t-shirt company and you want to figure it out buy material at Walmart cotton as well as polyester and and try different times in different temperatures and when you find one that gave you the best results right down those times and temperatures and what product and what thickness of product you had so when you purchase your t-shirts in the future you have your own personal settings already that you know 100% will give you the best results possible there is science behind this it'll work no matter what temperature or time you use but if you want the very best results from your ink and the very best results that your heat press can give you you need to play around and find I ran through 10 or 15 t-shirts before I figured out what times and temperatures work best for my heat press not all heat presses give out the same amount of heat people don't realize that and it does play big factor love your channel keep up keep up the great videos

Great informative vid. 👍🏽👍🏽 You can also use Minwax Polycrylic 2 oz with 16 oz of water. You have to spray and let dry over night then lightly spray again using a paint roller each time. Minwax said it is not harmful to us if used in this manner. I have used the subli-light transfer papers and all my prints come out crooked and you have to use white vinyl. Too much. My prints slide and you have to let dry before using. If anyone knows of something better please share.

Why didn't you select the cotton option in your print selection since you are printing on cotton. I saw in someone else utube that you can print on cotton without treatment to your cotton shirt.
@adubbproductions2 жыл бұрын
I understand but It would not have mattered because the ink is still the same. Selecting the cotton option does not change the ink. The ink has to transfer. The software and printer does not have anything internally that changes the properties of the ink. The cotton option is for printer using the easy subli ink i believe.
