Giving me the opportunity to kill them consistently without any real penalty wasn't really the best choice. Since I have a personal grudge against Entei, that hot dog got mutilated, crushed, shock-fried, bitten, punched, dropped from the sky, obliterated, Z-massacured, Mega killed, nuked, thwacked, and drowned so many times that the afterlife simply became non-existent due to the sheer overflow of dead dogs that came in! And then, by complete dumb luck, a shiny appeared and I caught it with an accidental first turn timer ball! I think it was so excited that I didn't resort to inexcusable rage that it didn't even try to break free. I… I really don't like that dog. Raikou is a great dog, as he never tried to get on my bad side. I even caught it as a shiny on HeartGold. The point is that casually fighting Entei was more of a way to vent out some of my anger than anything else.

It's funny, I'll never defend The Call of Duty franchise, ever. But a similar thing happened to them several years ago. They went a different direction and everyone who's never played the games, got riled up and spat on the series. I even had diehard battlefield fans, friends of mine, trash it. It's always easier to hate. The bandwagon is big enough for everyone. But should be populated by no one. It would be one thing, to give constructive criticism, but I've seen nothing but vile speech and death threats because: "I can't have my favorite digital code in a video game." Shame.

Use the moves the legendaries use so you can battle eternatus in the boss fight to see if you can catch or fight zacian. If this makes sense... Just remember of how you could battle eternatus but you couldn't hit him so the legendaries came in and used moves on it so you could hit it.

I’m pretty sure it’s not based on what your starter is, more that it’s based on the one chosen. You could delete the starting Grookey and have a full team of the final evo starters, and Grookey would still appear.

Encounters in the forest are set. You can't grind there and therefore can't evolve. However this trick does work in the gen 7 games when your starter shows up in early cut scenes.

Ruxaroh - The only cutscene I remember your starter appearing in when it came to Gen 7 (at least that you could theoretically have an evolved Pokémon for) was the one at the start of the game, where you talked to your mother. However through randomisers, we can see that it still just shows what starter you would’ve picked. It’s tied to your choice, not your Pokémon.

I think it's because the game first check if the conditions for move's usage are met, then executes the move. Counter fails because Zacian/Zamazenta don't hit you.

Try the ability Stall from Sableye, makes you always go last, that or the item Lagging Tail, does the same thing. Perhaps the move Vital Throw too? Seems like you're programmed to go first regardless of speed, but those things supercede any priority and force you to have a negative priority... Aka reverse Extreme Speed xD

It may have something to do when he skipped talking to Hop, normally you wouldn't be able to skip talking to him.

Likely what happened is that skipping Hop's cutscene messed up the event flags in the game. The game sent them to the default pokecenter instead of home for some unknown reason, which caused the game to think they were further than they really were.

You can’t grind it to final evo without cheats. It also would still only show the base starter since it doesn’t call the Pokémon from memory. If it called your Pokémon from memory, Shedinja would’ve appeared.

I know is USUM you can have evolved starters in early cut scenes and it even alters some positioning and camera angles. It's funny introducing your mom to the large cat man you brought home. It also defaults to a starter if you have something else

How Sketch works is that it copies the last move used, since the last move used isn't a move Sketch would fail. I use the word "would" because the mist prevents all effects of a move, including Sketch's copying ability. For messing with the mist you need to use abilities or items.

Hm, that fight sure is interesting. So, having seen all this, I guess it‘s safe to assume that ALL moves have no effect, even stuff like Aura Sphere for example. We know that it can get hurt by ability induced weather, but what about Burn and Poison? Obviously moves don‘t work, but is it maybe possible to use Synchronize to poison/burn it or somehow hack status onto it (like either making it hold one of the orbs or just starting the encounter with it being poisoned/burned). Would also be interesting to see if there‘s any way to Leech Seed it.

Usually those abilities still proc when you receive them (Unless Trace is somehow different) - I used a Runerigus with Wandering Spirit against Zamazenta and we kept trading Dauntless Shield back and forth with each other. Our defenses went through the roof

My same suggestion as last video: progress thru game like normal, but have some master balls. Before you get to the fight, be sure to catch a pokemon. Technically you should be able to press the last poke ball option.

You say your party was healed after the battle, but wnen this happens in other games (not necessarily pokémon games), fainted\knocked out party members are given 1 hit point unless the game has a case handler for a playable 0 health state. Is there a way to force Shedinja to have a bigger maximum hit point pool to see if it actually recovers it's full HP, or just 1 HP regardless?

Hello =) I have a suggestion for another kind of videos : in the game files, all the unused moves (dead moves or moves belonging to cut Pokemon, like Lunar Dance, Dragon Ascent, Tail Glow...) have a flag that prevents them from beeing used. That's why you couldn't use Lunar Dance. ... There are a few exceptions : a few moves can't be learned by anyone yet, but are coded to be usable. These moves are : Soft-Boiled, Mat Block, V-Create, Fairy Lock, Accelerock, Hold Back, Hold Hands, Celebrate & Happy Hour. Do these moves work properly when used ? I guess they should, because most are event moves or special moves that were available through events or special conditions in past games, and we will be able to transfer Pokemon knowing these moves once Pokémon HOME is released. However, what's really funny is that even though Klefki & Lycanroc aren't in the game at all, their signature moves can still be used ! x)

In the softlock, try to talk to Hop and see if it works. I think that the game loads one event at a time, hence if Hop is there, then the professors aren't.

Quite interesting, I wonder what happens if you use struggle, since its a move that always hits, is typeless. Also its the move of not having avalible moves.
