Here's something to try with the vacuum chamber, I know you usually take multiple ideas and try several at once. I just saw a video on music boxes and they have a part that spins called the governor that uses air resistance to regulate the speed of play. So A. how well will you hear it? and B. can you control the speed based on the air pressure?

That would be accurate if they did a scientific test. When they only test the dishwasher then there is no independent, dependent, or controls. If they had done a normal wash and compared the 2 then that would be accurate.

A shirt blocked the water jet to fully supply the top sprayer with water. Also, the bottom of the Dishwasher has a heating element to get the water hotter than tap water and if an article of clothing were to fall through the openings and land on that, it could catch on fire.

My brother and I have always wanted to do that - for many years, since seeing a Monty Python sketch where a stool is 'All broken and smashed' after being put in a washing machine. We wanted to put a load of old crockery in a washing machine, just to see what would happen. Then we realised that we'd have to buy a new washing machine, as the old one would be full of tiny glass-like shards, that would ruin any clothes put in it afterwards.

I did this once when I was in the Marine Corps. It worked, using dish washer detergent. The wet cammies were dried with a hot iron, which would have happened anyway.

i worked in a automotive machine shop and when i would get a uniform shirt really dirty i would run it through the aluminum degreaser then blow dry it with the air hose, and it got them cleaner than our laundry company

We use the dishwasher to clean our ballcaps, they make little frames to put the hat into that keep the hat in its hat shape. The dishwasher works well enough for articles like this that don't really get super "gymbag dirty" and that maybe you don't want to subject to the harsh agitation of a proper washing machine, but it doesn't really dry the hat.
