@@maartenvz they’re figuring it out as of recently. They lost 10+ games this season after leading by 10+ points. 22-14 since December isn’t bad but 8 of those losses came after loosing a single quarter by large margin when leading before hand whether it was the 2nd or 3rd quarter. That record since December should be 30-6 if these hiccups didn’t occur. Once again we have to remember their big 3 of Cj,BI and Z hadn’t played but 10 games together last year so they’re still working out kinks and recovering from injuries. This team is truly built to succeed. From the starting lineup to the bench they have a ton of talent on both defense and offense.

Dominant defense (anchored by Allen, Okoro ) being accountable to stop your man on drive with good rotations on passes. Increased fast break usage (Levert, Okoro, Mitchell) Mitchell becoming better creator and much better ball moving on offense. More 3s (Merrill, Niang, Wade, Mitchell) Mitchell not playing hero ball after bench proved themselves with injuries. JB actually using bench more now and improved rotations. Increased toughness starting with when Tristan Thompson was playing carried on by Allen. Mobley bulked up. Team approach on rebounds. Overall hustle. Team bonding during France trip.

@@KarlMalowned32 yeah I got my suspicions of that, your guess is pretty good. That team is not given much attention, but they're more consistent than Pelicans and almost everyone in the league. But what really makes them consider the Pelicans dangerous is besides having good defense, still got one of the 5 deepest offensive talented roster. Valanciunas by himself could be scoring 22+PPG as a second option, as he has shown before. But the Cavs would probably beat any team in the playoffs that has poor defense, including the Bucks

The thing I don’t understand with New Orleans is why they don’t run most possessions through Zion. He’s so efficient on drives that the defense has to help leaving guys open on the perimeter. I understand they have Ingram and McCollum who are best with the ball in their hands, but I think they would be best running the offense how Milwaukee runs theirs with Giannis.

I knew the Pels were a top 5 team in the West, but they'll need some luck (i.e. no injuries, especially to Zion or Ingram) to maintain their spot to the playoffs. They need to first stay healthy.. They have some chances but they don't look dangerous comparing to some other teams in the NBA.

definitely hoping the wolves can avoid them. Pels have wrecked us so far this season.

An interesting tidbit about Jose Alvarado’s sneak-up steals. After every Pelicans made shot there is a moment during every broadcast, probably for every team, where the camera cuts away to the person who made the baskets face. There has been at least two dozen sneak-up steals by Jose that have been completely off-camera. All you hear is the announcer proclaiming “Jose does it again, Jose does it again” while viewers are left to see a close-up of a random players unemotional face as he jogs up the court. I really wish broadcast would stop making these cuts, particularly when Jose is on the court. There are a ton of Jose highlights using this technique that simply don’t exist because of this cut away technique.

You can really see how the players enjoy talking about bball with someone who knows his sh*t. Compare these interviews with the press conference. Good content. Keeps those sneaky ads coming
