Canada Geese Parents fled temporarily leaving babies behind on impending danger

I found geese family about to come out from the lake. They were far so I ran towards them to record from close and apparently they panicked because of that. The geese family plunged into water and temporarily parent left children on impulse. At that moment children plunged into water too. The geese will never abandon their children. They right away realized the mistake and returned back immediately. Soon the family calmed down and came out of the lake. I came near them and then everything was normal.
