Last 2K in 5:34?? WHAT! That's sub 14 minute pace. I wish Alicia Monson was in this race as well, she's been killing it lately.

Did all the commentators just forget that Shalane Flanagan held the American record at 14:47? Always talking about the Canadian record but Cranny was definitely going to break the American one.

Would love to see how fast Cranny could run if she had someone to chase in that latter half of the race! She set the American Record doing so much work on her own.

Commentators not even once mentioned the American record by Cranny🤦♂️

If you had done your research and listened to some Canadian podcasts you would have known Stafford was going to crush the North American records.

It was around the 13 minute mark that Stafford just decided that she'd had enough.

Tip of the hat to the rabbit, who stuck it out for 6 laps and likely played a part in the eventual record times.

BTC was believable when it was just a couple dudes Jerry had coached in college, all doing well as pros. Its way too good to be true now. To have all these athletes, all running record times, winning medals, across so many events, for so many years, with one busted doper among them...not buying it anymore. Teg and Solinski and baby Jager were some of my favorite in 20 years of watching track, but I had to give up in around 2016. When Jama Aden's group got busted red handed, and nothing ever happened, it became all too clear that the authorities weren't interested in a clean sport.

“They come down from altitude…”. Yup. That’s why i slept in a hypobaric chamber during much of my training when i wanted to stay home to train. I don’t live at altitude.😉

You could have said North American record but okay FloTrack, always focused on the Americans even when they aren't the primary focus.
@Philmoscowitz2 жыл бұрын
They could have said American record broken by Cranny, but they were too focused on the Canadian record ;)
@joegaidosh76822 жыл бұрын
OK what the heck is going on here if this is a man’s race they would for sure know that’s the fastest woman’s time in North America and that is an American record for the American runner why didn’t these professionals know this
@brandonmroe2652 жыл бұрын
Bold of you to refer to Flotrack's commentators as "professionals." These guys are terrible; they either weren't paying attention to the clock or weren't aware of the record's status. Both are unacceptable.
