Canadian band Alvvays nominated for first Grammy

The 2024 Grammy nominations were announced Friday morning and Canadian alt-rock band Alvvays scored their first nomination for the song, Belinda Says. Molly Rankin, the band's lead singer says the song is rooted in the culture of Cape Breton, N.S., where she grew up.
CLARIFICATION (Nov. 13, 2023): In this video from 0:00-0:26 and 2:54-3:39, the label Royal Mountain Records is credited for the use of Alvvays’ song “Belinda Says.” In fact, Celsius Girls is the label formed by Alvvays that owns the copyright of this song.

Well deserved, but this band deserves to be a lot more popular than it is. I don't think I've heard anyone so skilled at marrying pop hooks with thoughtful lyrics since Paul Simon and R.E.M.

I mean, she looks pretty youthful but she’s only 36! As an early 30s woman I find people (both men and women) have a kind of skewed idea of what a woman in her 30s looks like? Maybe something to do with 20-something actors playing teens on TV? I’m constantly surprising people with my age, despite aging pretty similarly to my peers.
