Canadian F-18's leaving U.S. civilian airport

A total of 12 Canadian Air Force F-18's landed at this airport the day before this video was recorded, they stayed the night and left the next day. The news report had no information why they were here. There was no report of the jets going to any nearby U.S. military bases,

When i was at CFB Cold Lake AB we would hear these so often. From about a kilometer away it was a bit as louder than a live rock concert.

One of the required training exercises is for the new pilot candidates to plan and execute such a flight into a busy (highly trafficked) ATC environment. In the documentary series I saw, six of them were assigned LAX. In their previous training they were used to "owning the skies" wherever they flew with their own AT controllers (both civil and military) treating them like VIPs. In the LAX environment they were just strange little pesky jets holding up all the commercial traffic. Flying in to a nearby US base would be very similar to any other military base for them. They need to practice integrating into the most difficult General Aviation zones with safety and professionalism.

they do it for training .. I live in Trenton Canada we have the largest airbase in Canada... it just like the United States come up here with the C5 and practice touch and go's

joe gilbert I live in Windsor and American C-130's are always doing touch and go's at our airport since it is so small

Probably not eneough time to go home and get the semi-pro camera, crappy video is better than no video.
