Was just down there south of Playa Del Carmen and I caught several of the trigger fish-(the one that was spitting at you). They were fierce in shallow water- very small mouths with big teeth almost like human teeth lol.

Domenic Lomedico the rocks I fished on were good but that is the only place I fished so I have no other recommendations

There is a marina nearby where some fishing charters go out so there might have been a tackle shop there but I brought all my tackle myself

Do you need to buy a fishing ticket? Or is it allowed to fishing were ever you want. I am from germany and in September 2020 i will spend 3 weeks of my holidays there.

Going in March. What baits did you use?

I used jig heads with soft plastic paddle tails, and for longer casts I used a rapala x rap which is heavier and larger in size.
