This song literally changed my life like 14 years ago or so. Through Steffen Schackinger I found to Eric Johnson, and both their music has provided me both comfort in very troubling times. They are among the very few musicians that really touch my heart.

For those of you who have never studied music take it from someone who has. This man is a master at his craft. There are few people on the planet who have this much talent. It is something he was born with. It is a language that few people speak.

man I get goose bumps every time I watch him play! He has been around for a while you know. He was in a band called Merzy, in Denmark, in the mid 1990's. He got tired of the wild rock band party life and left the band in 1998. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his music

The G chord he rips at 2:00 sounds freaking incredible.
@QueenToKingOfSpades9 жыл бұрын
+thomasoring It actually doesn't :) It just replaces one of the two present major thirds in a regular G major with a fifth, cleaning up the chord and making it sound more tidy, if you will. It's basically the "Powerchordification" of a regular major cord without taking away all the major thirds :) You can try the same thing with an A major. Bar the two notes on the second fret of the d and g strings with your index finger and then bar the e and b string on the fifth fret with your pinky. Really cleans up the chord and basically makes it a giant power chord :) Great for big open rock riffs.
@QueenToKingOfSpades9 жыл бұрын
No problem :) I don't like keeping tips like that for myself. Too many guitarists get secretive and keeps things like that to themselves like they are trade secrets :) You can do the same with an E chord by barring the a and d sting on the second fret with your index, placing your ring finger on the 4th fret g sting and your pinky on the 5th fret b string and then mute the high e string. Giant e powerchord for ya :)

so many claim to be a guitarist but very few deliver the goods.steffen always delivers a stellar performance with felling heart & soul. He can out shred all the shredders out there for he proves it time and again. but he is far better than that and gives us all something special everytime he picks up that guitar.
