Without this channel, I'd never know why random dogs have a problem with my dog who is intact. I've learned a lot that I thought I knew and didn't until discovering this channel.

The problem is his Malinois is always in fights at these dog parks & if he was a responsible dog owner would never take Ronin to a dog park. But then what would he do for his youtube views.
@sunscreen_jji4 ай бұрын
@@BBBYpsiFrom what i’ve seen he usually posts when there’s something interesting happening at parks. I don’t see usually any fights in half of the videos. Usually it’s the other owners who need to be responsible for their dogs, sometimes it’s because Ronin is an intact dog. Ronin does not start the fights and he seems trained. Captions are used to help people understand what is happening. He doesn’t use it for views. Please watch the videos and read the captions, maybe you should think before commenting.

@2.goodforu I have seen many of his videos and read the captions. I am also a licensed, animal transporter. And I am good friends with certified dog trainers. And some people that happened to be ex police k-9 units. There is one video where he Is letting his dog run free while he's riding his bike. There are leash laws everywhere in every state. His dog has been in several fights that I have seen, and usually is the first one too make the move to start the fight.
@sunscreen_jji4 ай бұрын
@@BBBYpsi As I said, from what I’ve seen. The owners of these dogs need to take responsibility. How does Ronin start fights. Leash laws aren’t everywhere. They may be in some places but not his i’m guessing. If Ronin gets to pushy with something his owner would usually call him off. A dog park is used for dogs to play.

that small dog moment reminded me of when i took my besenji mix to a park and this large dog ran him over at full speed causing him to snap at it. then it proceeded to mount another dog in front of him. for some reason large dogs dont seem to like him or try to dominate him but most smaller dogs dont seem to mind him at all and even like playing with him. he especially gets along well with puppies and older dogs of all sizes and even intact ones though he is neutered. it seems like ronin has a similar personality where dogs either out right love him or want to end him lol. confident dogs usually have this affect on less confident dogs.

Here's where I have problems with you. It shouldn't be a case of whether or not your dog could 'take them," it should be uppermost in your mind that your dog doesn't hurt anyone else's or get hurt in return. I do not like dog parks at all and this is the reason why.

How did you learn so much about the behaviour? What books have you read in addition to observing the dogs different ways of behaviour?
@rtxbmn3859 ай бұрын
he didnt learn at all. he knows nothing about behavior, his dog is p bad in social settings due to him being pushy and overly dominant, lets recap about everything his dog did wrong and how he is saying bs to make himself look like he knows what hes talking about :D (From a Certified trainer and behaviorist in school currently ^^) First thing he did wrong: starting off with the greeting for the collie! NO ronin did NOT do a polite greeting! notice how ronin immediately puts his head over the collies that is a RUDE greeting, a normal and kind greeting for dogs is both dogs going to sniff the groin or bottom. greeting dogs face to face or shoving heads into their groins is a very pushy and rude behavior, greeting face to face is often shown as a challenging behavior or dominance display. Luckily this collie was very tolerant. if he did it to a more challenging dog there most likely would've been an issue. Second thing he did wrong! : Ronin running up to nip small dog, this is due to malinois natural behavior, theyre naturally a very high prey driven dogs, ronin saw this small dog and went in for a nip due to his drive. scared the small dog off causing a correction towards ronin. Due to ronin being a pushy and controlling dog it was difficult for the situation because ronin likes to instigate. this caused his rude response even more making it difficult for ronin to leave the situation. third thing ronin did wrong! Greeting the unsure collie! A lot of the times when dogs are unsure about situations their ears go back tail lowers and if a dog comes off as too pushy they will place a paw on the other dog as an appeasement behavior trying to create space! Ronins owner is going off dominance and alpha theory, which has been debunked multiple times. this puppy wasnt unsure because ronin was still intact this dog was unsure because it was young and was clearly not properly socialized when it was younger. Notice how it had to correct ronin a few times after it looked away and turned its rear away from ronin showing that it wanted space, Ronin clearly failed to do so causing that correction. Ronin responded quite well (unlike most times) and apologized with a lip flick and a look away showing he didnt want a fight, letting the dog calm down and finally agreeing for ronin to greet. Ronin THEN clearly started licking, this is ANOTHER rude behavior dogs do, causing the dog to playfully create space (another appeasement behavior to not cause a fight) Ronin lacking social cues sees this as play as the dog begins barking (trying to correct ronin showing he wanted space and not play. Notice how no other dog is joining in on the "play" except ronin?) this is where you NEED to recall your dog as it creates stress and makes it harder for unsocialized and unsure dogs to really become comfortable. Due to this dog becoming highly stressed it mounted the collie. Dogs mount for multiple reasons, stress, sexual drive, excitement and dominance. Ronin still lacking the cues this dog gave him he ONCE AGAIN shoves his face into this dogs groin, (at this point hes doing it out of dominance and trying to control this dogs energy) now! lets go to the heeler! Yes this heeler is confident Yes its okay for dogs to stare each other down AS LONG AS YOU KNOW YOUR DOG IS FINE WITH THIS AND TOLERANT! notice how Ronin immediately tries to correct this behavior and then begins to challenge this dog with a hard stare, hackles raised and staring it in the face. no greeting this time off the bat ronin wanted to control this behavior. yes this heeler is also rude and challenging but notice how after ronin does his appeasement the heeler backs off to greet a human. Ronin then becomes pushy, maybe jealous because he doesn't want him to get attention, with this the heeler again turns to ronin as a warning saying back off you're in my space. Greeting the small dog with the heeler: DO NOT EVER let your dogs interrupt a rude greeting especially with a dominant dog, this will mix with frustration aswell as the overexcitement the dominant dog has leading to a very large correction that could result in a fight, if the other dog that is getting greeted feels uncomfortable it will actively communicate to the other dog when they need to stop, Ronins owner should've never let his dog mount the heeler as a correction because ronin did NOT do this to correct the heeler, he did it out of jealousy, dominance and controlling behavior. Notice how hes always following the heeler not giving it space. Ronin is NO longer a puppy as his owner have already bred ronin. Ronin is doing appeasement behaviors to a domiant dog. Thankfully it did result in play, the heeler was still quite stressed and overstimulated but thankfully there was no scuffle. this guy needs to do a lot more research about his dog and maybe actually talk to trainers to know when to intervene.

@rtxbmn3859 ай бұрын
@@Tai-0182 clearly he didn't as hes going off of outdated methods such as alpha and pack structure and he cant comprehend dominance with reactivity :) maybe you should do some research and look more into behavioral studies instead of argue with someone who is certified in this and currently going to college for animal behavioral studies :D any responsible owner wouldn't take videos of their dog constantly getting into scuffles and posting it on KZbin for views and money! If this guys dog was actually trained maybe he should post videos of his training but he doesn't because his dog is reactive and the owner clearly doesn't care! But hey at least you got one thing right! I am a hater, I don't advocate borderline dog abuse and I wish this dude would actually do training and teach his dog boundaries which he very CLEARLY has none ^^
