I feel like the one I received kinda sucks. Was having issues with it not going fully into battery in the first 100 rounds. Additionally, why TF dos it have so much muzzle flip with a comp? Watching your footage, that muzzle was going damn close to 45 degrees. My 4” m&p shoots flatter than this th8ng for some reason. Really hoping it wears in and this gets better.

I think it's supposed to start shipping sometime in mid-late April. I just pre ordered it a few days ago when I saw a site taking orders. I'm happy with my current Spectre Comp but I'm really interested to do a head-to-head comparison with this one as it'll be my first Canik.

I don't even have the cool new Caniks. Have a TP9 SFx and a Mete SFx, discovered Canik when my son graduated high school and told him to pick out a pistol to train with before he went into the Navy. He picked the Mete. Didn't have much faith because it was so inexpensive. I was way off. Bought the TP9 SFx just before Rival came out. Both shoot really well not "for the price" they shoot really well because they're good pistols. Great triggers, hit basically what I'm trying to hit, never had a malfunction on either one. I've been filling out my pistol collection with stuff I've wanted for a while that aren't Canik but I'd have zero hesitation buying another one if I was in the market for a race pistol like this. That job usually goes to my CZ 75 SP01. While I haven't seen anyone not love the Caniks that have come out since I got my TP9 and I'm sure they're better, look cooler, have some upgraded features, etc. the two Caniks I have operate way way above their price level. I shoot them well, they're controllable, they're fast, comfortable ergos, fun to shoot, so currently if it ain't broke don't fix it. Will say, however, keep doing what you're doing, Canik, you're shaking the market previously dominated by the old companies up pretty harshly and that can only benefit us, the consumers. Noticeable improvement in innovation, affordability, and quality in the big guys since people started basically scooping up Caniks and the PDP line so enthusiastically. One in particular I've noticed is the M&P line, they're stepping up their pistols clearly in response to Canik and Walther in particular. M&P never really had my attention but I'm pretty curious after a few of their models I've checked out in the shop recently.

I have a laser targeting system I use before I go to the range to save ammo. I show up with my gun just about at zero, so I only need a few shots to tweak. Not sure I am going to get one or not. With five Caniks in possession, it's going to be difficult to justify buying this. My Rival is an absolute tack driver and has a red dot that is flawless. One of my TP9 SFxs has a comp as does my Elite Combat Executive. I certainly makes a difference when it comes to follow up shots. However, for $1000 you get an unbelievable gun with the comp, red dot, accessories and cool-ass case. That's tough to beat. S&W and Sig have gotten cheap on the cases, whereas Canik has gotten even better. If I didn't have a bunch already, I'd have my order in process. Maybe I'll trade in a few of my other guns that I no longer shoot to get this one. What's not to like about it? Keep it up, Canik!!!

I think this gun could use an actual gas pedal as well,the one that goes on the rail maybe but also lets you still run a light?it be nice if porting or this comp makes it to the regular METE SFX or the other less expensive guns.

I was not a fan when the Caniks first came out,but I own 3 now and they are great guns(minus the Turkish political stuff)the original SFX is what sold me,if I see one of the TT versions in the wild it shall be mine!! But what’s with the challenge coin thing I don’t get it I guess. I’d like to see the first round though the gun at the factory shot through the coin as proof it works then I’d display it somewhere. Other than that,nah.

I bought one today and shot it. Very similar. You’re paying for the Taran name and to be fair it’s got a lot of extras for the money. I collect TTI’s so for me I just wanted it for that reason alone

Shooting freehand simulates real life personal defense shooting. I never take any resilts from supported shooting. Into consideration at all. I only will watch these types of videos. Just to see which types and brands. Of ammunition runs great. Which types and brands fail.

Supported shooting shows the guns “true” accuracy which is why you zero the pistol rested. If the gun is accurate then the rest falls on the shooter. With that said I ran the gun hard and fast maintaining my personal level of proficiency. I’m sure there’s other YT channels that focus on these things you mentioned just not here. Hahahaha! I knew it was someplace in Miami. Either Trail Glades or Homestead. I was thinking this guy has got to be from Miami someplace. Thats the energy I was getting… I know Canik is all the rage now, and for a 900 to 12 price range for a competition pistol. With optic is great for an entry level competition shooter. But that gun is ugly asf! I’ll stick to my CZ Tactical Sport Orange or a Glock 34. But, with everything so expensive now. Save some money on the price of a gun. Spend the rest on ammo.
