This was the summer of 67. And the girls looked so cute! Canned Heat with Frank Cook on drums. I wish there were more recorded videos available from the early days. And The Bear wasn't even fat yet. Great choice! Don't forget to Boogie!

"Let's Work Together" a blues-based rhythm and blues song released back in 1970 by 'Canned Heat' is smokin' hot. Since the song has been reacted to already over a year ago, audio version only; a live version gives you a better impression of the band might be worth checking out. Canned Heat performed at the Woodstock festival in upstate N.Y. in the summer of 1969.💫🎤🎸🎹🥁🔊🔥☮🎧

The great original band: Bob "The Bear" Hite vocals, Al "Blind Owl" Wilson slide guitar, Henry Vestine guitar, Larry "The Mole" Taylor bass and Fito de la Parra drums, the only remaining member alive, you had to see them to believe them.

Not Fito on drums at this time.

Love Canned Heat. This video sounds good, but although it is fun to see the crowd, I wish the person who filmed it showed more of the group (minor complaint) The videos from Woostock are a little better. Great live performances. This classic song has been covered by a number of others.

Hey Biz, John Lee Hooker (legendary blues artist) and Canned Heat collaborated together. Canned Heat floated the idea of recording together, and in 1970, Hooker's record company gave Hooker permission to do just that. Just one month later they met up at Liberty Records in LA to record the album that was titled "Hooker' N Heat" released in 1971. Hooker' N Heat" is a double alum released by John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat and was one of his first albums to chart reaching number #78 on the Billboard charts. Here's a live performance of them singing one of their tunes from this album, if interested. "John Lee Hooker Whiskey And Wimmen (Live)" (by the channel: Dzhakhar96) and here's the studio version if you'd prefer to listen to the studio first, I thought I'd try to provide both options. "John Lee Hooker - Whiskey' N Women" (by the channel: John Lee Hooker Official) And as always, I enjoyed rocking with you. Thanks for sharing. peace out~

I could never seriously listen to them. That singer sounds like Kermit and there's no getting away from it. Love ya, Biz!

🙄 Kermit didn’t exist when we fell in love with Canned Heat.

Alan Wilson is the singer with the "Kermity" voice - lol! This song featured Bob Hite singing - no Kermit here....

@@cindyfalstrom7231 I have no doubt it's grossly unfair, but the first song I heard of theirs as a kid was "Going Up the Country" and it just stuck. I wasn't even a Muppets kid. It's just ingrained. I'm sure he doesn't always sound like that, it's just that one record!
