Not exactly. The juice he was talking about is the topping juice that you see go on after the tomato pieces are filled into the can. Canned tomato juice is usually tomato paste with water.
@morganevans70963 жыл бұрын
Same with pretty much all fruit juice I think, there's different grades of fruit that gets used for different things. The prettiest, say, oranges go on store shelves, uglier ones get canned and the worst looking go to the juicer Being ugly doesn't mean they're bad though and not worth eating, it's just people are picky and only choose the very nicest looking fruit, so the stores know not to even bother putting out the lower grade stuff. Some supermarkets are bringing them back though, to help reduce food waste. I think that's mostly for things that can't be repurposed in the way fruit juices are, like potatoes and other veg

@qweqqweq20902 жыл бұрын
there was one gigantic peach washing machine that was ordered by a neighboring fruit ranch, other than special cases where you can order what you want you're going to want to find yourself a really good mechanical engineer and also possibly an experienced programmer if you need to set up split second timing like picking out different colors, sizes, stickering, etc. on a fast moving line. other than those two specialties, probably any decent team of car mechanics can help assemble it.

@cultclassic9993 жыл бұрын
Have you considered getting EnChroma glasses? Your sensitivity curve for red cones ans green cones in your retina overlaps. (It overlaps for everyone, but in your case it overlaps too much.) EnChroma glasses blocks the overlapping frequency. The glasses are expensive, but works for most people with red-green color blindness. Pilestone glasses are cheaper, but I don't know anybody who uses that. Good luck!

Vague estimate based on the canning speed; 6 cans per second, 440g per can, 2.64kg per second, 228,000 kg = 228 tonnes a day. A bit more to account for the skins and rejects.
@Tuppoo945 ай бұрын
"Often considered to be a vegetable, the tomato is actually a fruit." Pretty close, but not quite right. What's actually going on is even more confusing. The things we know as tomatoes are the fruit of the tomato plant, which are classified botanically as berries, alongside cucumbers, eggplants and bananas. Strawberries and raspberries, on the other hand, are not berries by this definition.
