I'm so glad I found this video! I had just hand peeled, cored and cut 45lbs of apples we picked from a friend's trees. I wanted to find a good video for the slices (also have applesauce and juice from peels), and I saw this before I made a simple sugar and all that jazz.. it'll save so much time and I can take a break from 6 hours of peeling 🤣. Thanks so much for sharing this. It was a huge help to me! ❤️❤️

okay.... so here I am, an avid fan watching this video three years after it was made. I never knew it could be so easy to can apples! I did take note that these were water bath canning and that you did, in fact, lose part of your video (LOL). What did you use for the acid for this recipe? I assume you used some lemon juice or citric acid or something, but it wasn't actually in the video. If you could let me know, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks for all of your hard work and very instructional canning videos. I can't wait until you show us how you make and can homemade rotel!

it depends on how you store them. If stored in dark cool place they could last 5 years or so. The USDA, however, only recommends using your home canned goods inside of a year. I just make sure my jars and lids are still sealed and in good shape as in no mold or leaking or just plain smelling funky. some foods I can get eaten up in a year and others will be gone by three years.
