Im a sucker for a good history lesson to kick off a review

Thanks! I think it's important to set the context for rides.

@@CanobieCoaster I agree love the history and is very interesting I’ve learnt a lot of things I didn’t know that Megaphobia was so cheap !!

Those first two bank transitions after the first drop in the reprofiled section look like they are heartlined! I've never seen that on a wooden coaster before.
@CanobieCoasterАй бұрын
Wouldn't be surprised if it was the pre-cur track.

I don't think it ran in 2023 or 2024 (when I visited) since they have been waiting to get the boat back from the manufacturer.

So we visited in august of this year. The operators told us that the second train is undergoing extensive maintalenance and is expected to return. Also I was never (knowingly by the operator) given so much room on a woodie. Upon seeing that we where Coaster enthusiasts, the eyployess gave us rides with 2 vertical fists of space above the lap ☺️. This added to me really enjoying this coaster but I have to agree, it is running somewhat slow in the last third/ last few elements. Also it kinda is a bit tooo smooth for me 😂 So behind Grand National and maby Big dipper my favourite woodie in the Uk. And final note, I actually bought one of the plastic restraint locking mechanism covers

Ooh I'm gonna have to start asking operators very nicely for airtime room. Had an operator on Joris En De Draak insist on stapling me on a quieter day when I did the normal raising my legs trick to stop it going all the way down, whereas on the busier day the guy blitzed past even as I was obviously holding on to the restraint to stop him. Night and day riding experiences

Good to hear the 2nd train will return one day! Yeah I figured it was running slow due to the wind.

I think that is a genius move, letting guests buy used ride parts for a wooden roller coaster that is constantly needing work done on it. Holiday World should seriously do this for their three woodies. It also is a neat shout out to the maintenance team. I'm sure some of them could work as paperweights or at the end of a bookshelf to keep everything standing.

I love when parks do that.

My #5 overall out of 382. This coaster is elite. That re-profiled first drop is so freaking good.

Hello Canobie. I’m visiting the Tivoli Gardens park. Do you have advice or what rides to do first?👍 I like really floorless rides like because I have ridden Medusa East and Hydra!
@CanobieCoasterАй бұрын
I have a review talking about the order to hit things. I recommend doing the flats first since they have lower capacities.
@Loopdyloop325Ай бұрын
@ just checked out the review. I will probably hit Demon or Tik Tak first.

I haven't been there, but I remember seeing Megafobia on Thrills, Spills, and Chills on the Discovery Channel when it was still pretty new. Do they still have a flock of sheep under the coaster keeping the grass trimmed?
@CanobieCoasterАй бұрын
I did not see any sheep in my visit.

It’s a good thing they kept the PTC trains on this rather than getting Timberliners. It could have become rough like T2Z is now if they did.
@timwolfe77Ай бұрын
Yep. Those trains are too light to run on any track that previously ran heavier vehicles, even if the track is relatively new. They could've made them work if they retracked the entire ride, however that's a lot more $$$. 2 million for 40% of the ride, so that's 5 million for the whole ride plus the cost of the new trains....damn that's a big difference for a small park. LOL
@CanobieCoasterАй бұрын
I like Tonnerre 2 Zeus, but I agree the Timberliners can bleed off speed more due to their weight.
