I really like the videos of you two on a trip together. I appreciate how you explain things so people that do not know can learn. Thanks so much! 🙏

It has been 37 years since I left Fairbanks. I have missed being in Alaska almost everyday since. I am not able right now physically and medically to go back and do what you are enjoying. I loved my 3 years there and I have to thank the Army for sending me there and experiencing all it has to offer.

Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right. Most videos (other people's) are pure energy the first day, and then exhausted vibes throughout the rest of the trip. You guys balance it out well, ending on a positive note. Love it! ✌

I recommend that you consider sewing ties to your fine felt hat so it would not fly off in high winds. I once lost a nice hat to the ocean harbor in a Mexican town because of high winds. Tie laces could be pretty easily sewn to your hat and could be tucked underneath when not needed. Glad you had a great canoe voyage. Looks so fun!

Love you guys you are such normal regular people. I think it's great that you show everybody that this can all be done without titanium and expensive kayaks and tents. A good old truck a Coleman canoe and Coleman tent, an old aluminum coffee pot and enough imagination and grit to gittrdone and you can do any adventure you can think of. You folks are my hero's I hope one of these summers soon I can take one of your classes just so we can sit around the campfire at night and compare stories. I want to hear more about your alone adventures too.

That wind can be nasty especially on big water like Lk Superior. We did a 14 day paddle on that Lake. Sometimes we couldn’t get back on because of the wind . It was a 200 mile trip down the White River then paddle back to Nipigon . It was awesome. 🇨🇦👍

Nice seeing you together doing a video! I would surely pick the wind over the bugs. Wow lots of land erosion. I so love pine tree's. I'm happy you doused the fire with those high winds. Looks like the woods there need some never ending major fire trimming. Lol Mrs. Journey! Nice mix content.

My dad & Grandfather picked blueberries in MI & my mom & grandmother made jam out of them. It was a nice, peaceful & interesting video until you hit the road. Then you knew modern things like a road was the time to speed everything up & get going. I know to slow down & let the world go by. Hopefully you 2 will do it also because peace in life is only in your mind & not in the rest of the world.

What I do since found the channel, if I am all caught up on newer videos, I go back and watch older videos. I love learning about foraging, crowberry, high bush cranberry, edible moss, I mean everything about the channel is fun to watch, but I love learning skills, I could use in the woods, learning about the natural ecosystem, in this case, of Alaska, where I have not been yet, someday...

Yes...YOUR HAT! That is some hand-crafted masterpiece. It is maybe as much a part of your brand as the battered cowboy hat smooth-singing country star, Don Williams always wore. ( I could also have cited 'Boxcar Willie....but....) Totally agree with you about ceaseless wind. Sometimes the wind has driven me back into the tent.
