Paul Rey Photo Sony colour science is better than canons when shot and colour graded properly, when shooting like an amateur and taking the footage straight out of camera the canon looks better, but still nowhere near as good as Sony footage treated properly.

Color difference due to different lens quality. The lens in the canon was not used with an equivalent lens. For the 5d IV used the 24-70mm f2.8 L lens (version II). For the Sony It was the 28-70mm f3.5-5.6 OSS lens. Why didn't use the Sony a7M3 camera 24-70 mm 2.8 gmaster or 24-105mm GM ????

Very interesting. The Sony AF looks better. Changes in the background look much less distracting when the focus changes.

that may depends of the lense more than the AF ... the strengh of bokeh on one hand, and something named 'focus breathing' which is a slight shift of focal length when changing focusing distance..

well on sony you didnt go out of focus as you didnt give much time. canon focused on the house as soon as you left the frame. sony was still dreaming.. #Canon a million times!

canon should have an auto focus delay setting depending on the shooting mode. For example, to shoot swimmers who periodically emerge from the water, so that the focus does not run into the background while the swimmer is under water. And the delay can be made minimal (by default it is in the average value), then it should be quicker to switch. But is there such a setting in sony, and if so, what the default position is it?

Sony a7III looks CINEMATIC AF!!!! The autofocus is organic, smooth, and also cinematic. I have 2 Sony a6500 cameras. I’m selling one and upgrading to the Sony a7III. This video was helpful. Thanks man.

as a camera .. but if video is mandatory, sony takes the first place .. 1.2 cropped 4K from 5K signal, with log, 120fps in 1080p, etc.. canon released this camera a year prior to sony killing the (camera video) game .. and that forced Canon to stop and protect their different lines as they always did before.. they even authorized c-log on 5Div years after release to compete, for a paid upgrade... It just demonstrate my point, Canon did not offer all they could to passionate user, but feature/dollar very well thoughts for their benefits.. do not even talk about the codec onto the 5D.. pff.. naah .. do photo with 5D if you like, do video with sony (or R5)

The USM lens on the canon wasn't built for video, you need a nano or STM lens for that. But it still did a great job. One thing is sure the canon will still be alive in 10 years time. The Sony will probably die in a couple of years 😂
