R5C dynamic range on the interior is really excellent.

That was the part I shot in RAW. Plus, it was overcast…that helps.

I likely wouldn't have noticed anything had it not been for the title of the video. Looking hard the only clue for me was the noise in the burgundy(?) wall at 0:59.

All of the interiors were shot RAW, the exteriors were 4K XFAVC.

@@loudandclearmediawill you start using 8k raw for Some shots during real estate or stay at the 4k xavc what’s your conclusion after this test?
@loudandclearmedia Жыл бұрын
@@KarlevidProductions good question. My conclusion I think is that 90% of the time, RAW just isn’t worth the squeeze. It’s really hard to work with in post, and the RAW it’s self isn’t that great…much less featured than BRAW or especially R3D. I do still feel that the highlights are a bit softer with the RAW interpreted as CLOG2 in post, but it’s a bear to work with and the files are massive.

@@loudandclearmedia okay, i have noticed when i do fitness competitions that the Raw handles highlights much better, did some mix on the same day and highlights was kinda bad when i did 8k non raw vs 8k raw.

Would you recommend the r5c or the fx3 for doc work/ vlog content? I also like to take pictures. Thanks great real estate video

Excellent filmography. I only figured the outside shots were 4K since you don’t get much battery life and the camera on a drone makes it hard to externally power

Nice! How was editing the 8k files?

Heavy, especially since I ran Neat Video on the render. I do believe that's the R5C's best image overall, but it's a bear to work with.

@@loudandclearmedia That's been my experience as well. Looking back at my old Fx3 work and comparing it to my R5C, raw is the only format that compares to the FX3's dynamic range. But then you have heavy files with noise reduction. Seems like the fx3/a7s might be my favorite workflow wise for shooting video on homes. I personally prefer Canon for my photography workflow which I feel is backwards from you maybe because I started with Canon.

@@brandonbrodie4547 I just like the R5Cs image better than the A7Siii/FX3, understanding that you do give up dynamic range, especially in the highlights. The Sony cameras have that nice, soft rolloff up top and are also quicker to work with. The Canon's have a more pleasing noise pattern, better, less smeary colors, and are sharper. That's the road I've chosen for now, mostly because I really like the RF glass. All of these cameras will be better every year anyway.
