Fishing for amazing reef fish in front of our camp! The fishing was on fire... I caught pb fish. Timmy the Turtle ticking off a bunch of new fish species and Briggsy catches another fierce longest Tom.

Thanks mate. Im not from America though haha, so yeah we call these fish Coral Trout which is far different from your trout for sure.. We also have freshwater trout here in Australia but they are very small in comparison to the one's from the US. Yewww

I think that is awesome you're catching and releasing, I know it's also good to catch your own food but sometimes it good to show responsibility too and if you have fish to eat already its better for the fish to release if healthy. Looks like the Z-man Headlock jig head. I use those here on the emerald coast and slay tarpon, mahi, cobia, Tuna, Jack's, flounder, EVERYTHING from HUGE to small, pelagic to bottom dwellers when paired with the right soft bait (usually a fluke or eel). Best jig head I have yet to find. Unparalleled action. Made in New Zealand too, I believe.

looks like a good time... reminds me of a couple of trips to remote, rarely fished areas of Baja California back in the 80s (although there still are such areas down there)...many different species of fish off the beach, and plenty of them, and camping outdoors on nice beach areas, building driftwood fires...i could spend months doing that. you really should consider getting a lightweight inflatable kayak though...if the fishing is that good off the beach, going out 500 meters would likely be off the charts, and with that lake-like sea you have there, it would be no problem (unless you came across a big great white or crocodile, i suppose.....)
