I love the colors you are using throughout your home. Just a tip some may want to try: I take all my faux plants outside when dusty and give them a shower under the water hose. After all, they are fabric and plastic. They last in cemeteries under extreme weather conditions. And a bath never hurts! I do the same when I thrift florals before bringing into my home. It has always worked beautifully for me.

I am happy for you that you have enough to create so much change with the passing seasons. Seeing new decor ideas are fun to watch, but I grew up in a very poor country and am content with what I have. I am glad you have the freedom to change often and I have the freedom to change very little except for a few small, seasonal items. As I age and downsize, I think more about where all this stuff will end up. I do enjoy DIY because it is a way to use my time to create more than I could afford to buy.

You might not think it, but I do understand. For the first 40 years of my life, I didn’t have much money to spend on home decor. Our first home was full of mostly hand me down furniture that people gave us, and that is why my house is still full of thrift store furniture and decor. I do hope to downsize one day, so that my children will not have so much stuff to deal with after I die.

@@delilahdelaney I am neither passive aggressive nor jealous. You certainly didn't read me correctly. I am a contented senior citizen who enjoys watching for ideas while I give away as much as I can. I never sell my excess: I share it. I have been rich and very poor. Contentment is key as I downsize. I comment on videos because I have too little opportunity for any conversation.

Thank you, Nancy! Zoe looked so comfortable that I couldn’t move her. Later when she was up, I moved the bed to one of the bar stools in the kitchen to take a few more photos. When I went to move it back to the sofa, she was in it! I don’t know how she knew it was there! Cats are so funny.

Everything looks so nice! My mother in law always spoke of her mother "freshening up" the house for spring. She: placed cotton slip covers on the living room sofa and took down the heavy curtains and put up light weight cotton ones. Then in the winter the processed was reversed.
