@@angietoonz6605 you obviously have a very negative outlook on life. I’ve had older brash women talk to my group of friends and say shit like that, and we’re all white. When in reality she was dreaming about getting it on with some young good lookin guys.

Coming from China, most local chinese people, especially older ones would also stare at you like that if you look like an American or an European. the word "racism" does not exist. It's a fake made up word. People are tribal by nature. Its not "hatred" or "fear". they simply just want to be left alone and live with their own people (kinda like an Indian tribe) this is very natural and normal. They aren't out to hurt anyone. They just want to be left alone with their own people. People should respect their way of life instead of forcing multiculturalism on them when they don't want it. Their values should be respected even if others don't agree with it

Just because you are nice, does not mean you can’t be racist. Just from the way she talks, she sounds very uneducated, and uneducated people tend to fall for conservative rhetoric a lot more easily. I know this because I was once an edgy high schooler who was uneducated and ignorant on a lot of issues. She may be nice, yes, but unfortunately she is most likely racist with a lot of pre-conceived notions and stereotypes. Her daughter most likely likes K-Pop or some Japanese cultural aspects. It’s highly unlikely her daughter would specifically be interested in C-Pop or Chinese dramas as opposed to K-Dramas or K-Pop.

I think I know what you meant to say in your comment, but it didn't come out correctly. Your comment states that people display their true selves when being filmed. If that's what you're saying, it's incorrect, because their true self is " HOW THEY ACT WHEN NOT BEING FILMED ". You see, people actually put on fronts/acts for the cameras so that they don't appear a certain way.

Yeahhh, but true racism is hard to hide. If someone is acting like “not a racist”, they don’t get friendly as much as they get patronizing. They bring up all the racist crap disguised as other things. (Hollywood, and slips from political people on all sides). Signs: bringing up stereotypes, over the top non-genuine sympathy, bringing up “friends and relatives” of the race at awkward times in the conversation.

It's 2023 and I'm still living in Texas and have no desire to leave as most people have been very respectful about others. But, sometimes it's best to check it out first before drawing a conclusion. I mean sure some really bad stuff has happened down here. But, over all it's been just fine for me and my family. Good job guys. @@regimiro4888 It's not an excuse. It is however a reason. If you were raised in a family like that, you too would find it hard to break away from that. Passive racism is one of the hardest things in cultures to get rid of because people aren't sure what they did wrong; They just know what they were taught was socially acceptable. Therefore, if she was raised in an overtly racist family and culture, then that sort of passive racism would be hard to break. Kind of like how most boomers act like, "Oh, what's autism? You look away from people when they talk to you?" vs "OH- YOU'RE AUTISTIC! YOU DROOL ALL OVER THE PLACE AND SCREAM ALL THE TIME!" To her, it's not even racism. Just general ignorance. TL;DR: She's trying her best to change with times, but is having trouble straying away from cultural norms and family influences. Put that in your corn pipe and smoke it. It's a hotbed for the KKK. Seriously though even in racism there are extremes and most people there are going to act like most everyone typically does but under that there are people who may be very hateful and some who just want to live in majority-white neighborhoods but I don't think that's all wrong. Most all of Asia can be very nationalistic especially the Japanese and you know what? It's also their right. In short just because someone is a nationalist doesn't mean they hate other races but perhaps they just prefer focusing on their language and culture. There are different levels of extreme, just like a nazi doesn't necessarily subscribe to a nationalist viewpoint but all nazis are national socialists.

@@sassialane I disagree it seems her granddaughter is interested in some type of Asian culture (anime, kpop, manga, etc.). We can see that this woman probably doesn’t understand exactly what her daughter means and is clearly an old lady (like how our grandparents may appear clueless to whatever we find interesting). China men is simply an old world to describe East Asian people for an older generation. She was racist but it was clearly not intentional

Videos like this just show you don't need to be scared of people or certain places without having experienced it first. Keep up the great work!!! Edit: Wow thanks you guys, I'd never guess I'd get more than 2600 likes within the first 72 hours!!! My first time a comment of mine received over a thousand and thus 2,5k likes too 😂

Just imagine if your town will be labelled as "The Most Racist Town". It's like both embarassing and funny at the same time. Glad that some people are stepping up to tell others that they aren't racist. Most old people can be (mostly) but some generations grow to be more open-minded.

You do realize that it wouldn’t be embarrassing for the racists right? Racists are proud of their racism and have no shame in it at all. They could care less if someone called them racists because they love being racist
