Heading down to the ditch this weekend to hit it hard. West tide rolling in around 4:30-5:30 am sat and sun so hopefully it will be a good morning bite.

@@malonesoutdoors7205 ended up doing a morning trip to the railroad bridge today. A 30" and a 32", can't complain. Picked up some sea worms to float under the castle island bridges tonight or tomorrow in Boston

@@tedjerdee1028 nice! that’s still a good day out. Yah you should pull a big one at night. If it’s live bait the schoolys might get it first but idk. Let me know how it goes 🤙

@@malonesoutdoors7205 You were right lol, killed it but all sub 20"-26" fish. I love Castle Island but you really have to know how to fish it. The other day I lost 2 jigs to the bottom of the canal the so I'm due for a 20lb+ fish this weekend there, it's karma

Before you cast set the drag to what you feel is the maximum drag/pressure you want to put on the line or fish, that way you never over tighten while fighting a fish and you can back it off when necessary. I mean no offense but do have over 40 years fishing the ditch. And i can tell the exact spot where you were standing 😮 if you want everyone to know ask me and I'll tell you where.

Yah in the video after each fish I catch I put up the drag. Went from fishing small blues to these guys. I wasn’t trying to hide the spot. I feel confident fishing the whole stretch. I don’t mind advice. Iv only been fishing salt for just over two years now. I got a couple an other video coming out catching a 39” bass.

@@malonesoutdoors7205 I only mentioned the spot burn so you could verify my experience. If you see a red semi recumbent trike with pvc rod holders on the front forming a V that's me. Good luck to you also and be careful on those rock they can do some serious damage. Edit And always back the drag of after fishing, I like to pour water on the reel before the ride home, once again you may already know that but if you don't you should. I rinse everything once I get home.

@@ecduzitgood yah I wash my stuff down when I get back to the truck. But there has been times we’re I forgot. I tend to do it when I get home. I usually forget to wash my belt and lures I use that day but I always change my hooks. Gotcha 🤙. Hope you catch some big ones.

Hey buddy... not trolling at all.. just suggesting you either tighten your drag and horse 'em in or let 'em run and use a 'pump and reel down' tempo. Reeling your BG against the drag is a quick way to trash a medium quality reel .
@malonesoutdoors7205 Жыл бұрын
No thank you. Yah I realized my drag was night tight enough. The first three fish kept getting bigger so I kept getting tighter. Thanks for the advice 🤙
