One of my fav places in the world. Subies tend to do fine out on the beach where the sand stays packed, but the paths back behind the dunes tend to be deep soft sand that might give them trouble especially if not lifted and on larger off-road tires.

Love the video! How did your AWD system handle the sand trip? Was driving difficult for you? I’m about to do this same journey in my Toyota Highlander with Toyota’4wd’ system which is technically AWD… Just curious. I have recovery traxx in case i get stuck 😂😂😂

How much the ferry ride cost?

The ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke is free! It’s fun by NC DOT. Ocracoke to Cedar island is $15 and Davis to Cape lookout is $100 round trip (for a vehicle)
