For 10 euros a day you can have your "guide" getting you all you need. But food is all imported ,local food is bad quality,sailing yachts are stopping there for a while and german guy has built a marina and is charging e traordinary prices. New houses are sold to foreigners to be rent out as holiday hotels. Avoid at all costs.....

I think that people these days lack constructive criticism..just because it’s tradition, it doesn't mean it’s the best way just like what you said about the cachupa

What’s the culture influence besides Novelas…Cape Verde’s culture existed before Brazil was conceived. You should ask the opposite.

Are you serious? It's the other way around. The similarity in culture was brought to Brazil by the people that came from this island and other parts of Africa. The Brazilian carnival has it's roots from the people that were taken there as slaves

@a.m.icadete7578 the brazilian carnival, you mean Rio de Janeiro Carnival , right? Carnival was brought by Europeans , samba was brought by Africans , but the way the party happens today in Rio , was made by Brazilians from different backgrounds. It's clear that Cape Verde Carnival was inspired by Rio's Carnival, the costumes and the organization of the event are pretty similar, also, I know Cape Verdian Music and there is huge influence from MPB and Bossa Nova. I don't know why people get offended by this fact.

@la1130 Novelas have a huge influence in cultural aspects, the same for Brazilian music. I don't get why people get mad for something obvious. All countries are influenced by others, for example the US influences many countries in the world exporting music and movies, series and etc.. and so, Africans influenced Brazil and Brazil influenced Africans , especially portuguese speaking countries.
