@@AkashZaman277 I don't have a link, but this is what I have: 2 Huge Fixed Beam, both with Thermal Vent to prevent overheating 1 Large Gimballed Beam, with Thermal Shock 2 Medium Missiles, both with ammo capacity 2 Small Gimballed Multicannons, both with corrossive rounds Shield is engineered for sheer strength, and is also a Prismatic size 7 shield All utility mounts except the Kill Warrant Scanner are shield boosters. Most engineered for shield strength, some engineered for shield resistance Engines are engineered with dirty drive Size 7 shield cell bank FSD is optimized for range, with a guardian FSD booster Fuel scoop, size 7 Fighter hangar Power plant is engineered for very slight power increase Hope that helps :)

@@Gameslinxmanoeuvrability isn't really a factor here if you know how to control you ship. You should at least have about 5k of shields with adequate resistances and plenty of banks, at least something like 2 class 7 banks (depends on how fast you can kill the heat relays) . I'd recommend a loadout that doesn't you to require to put 4 pips in weapons all the time, as you wanna have full pips in systems. A corrosive multicannon is gonna help. Not as hard as it might seem here but if the capital ship focuses you, along with the entire enemy team, you'll need some hp.

Might be a bit late, but you don't need 5k shields or shield banks. My Corvette has 2,2k bi-weaves with decent resistances and can tank any capital ship.

Bows started to emerge from the smoke and after a few moments, it became clear they were all Farragut-class battlecruisers. A new series of voices broke over the com. “This is the FNS Striker. Heard you guys could use some help.” “FNS Boxer here. Ready to assist.” “FNS Archer. Armed and raring to kick some ass.”

Thank you. 2 Dual Huge fixed beams, one large beam, two medium multicannons and two small rocket launchers (if I recall correctly). Beams are engineered with efficient. They also lower my heat signature when hitting a target so I don't overheat. The power distributor is grade 5 recharge, so I can fire for a very long time! Even on an empty distributor, one huge beam can fire forever. I love this build!

@@Gameslinx 2 huge beams is still probably the best thing for pve on the Corvette , haven't seen anyone run these fixed though , biggest respect from my side for doing so, you might wanna try running these 2 huge ones gimballed though, you'll wreck everything smaller than an asp that way, you can still go for fixed high dmg weapons on the other hardpoints, especially the large one sucks for gimballed weapons imo, a missle rack or something like a Plasma or pacifier (if you have it unlocked) fits nicely in there. On the 2 small and 2 medium you could run turrets for some status effects (something like corrosive or scramble spectrum and emissive) or just 4 multicannons (corrosive and emissive, and 2 incendiary) . In the end everyone has his own playstyle though so do what you gotta do.

@@powerline4564 I used to use the Gimballed beams but they were too heavy on my distributor with the third size 3 Gimballed beam. I went fixed for massive damage output. The fixed beams have a very tiny gimbal lock-on when they get close to a small ship, unless that was removed, which is very helpful

My vette runs two huge pulse with bleed through engineering. Two pack hounds mediums. Large seeker missile, and large caliber cannons turreted on smalls. Nothing survives long against Mjollnir!

So I assume based off my fresh-starting player perspective: when a Capital Ship arrives to a battle it basically means “ok everyone go home, fights over”? Or is it just a world event sorta thing, to even local odds?

It's meant to be a balance between the former and giving an opposing player a fighting chance. The capital ships are actually very weak for their size. They'll destroy you if you're not careful and strategic, but you can definitely force one to retreat (no huge explosions, sorry) if you know what to do. Mainly, avoiding the big guns and targeting thermal relays. Cook them from the inside out.

Unfortunately, Farragut-class Battlecruisers and Majestic-class Interdictors are off-limits to players. Other megaships exist, like agricultural farms or what-have-you, but they are just as unobtainable. What you _can_ own is a Fleet Carrier, a mobile player-owned station of sorts, which the player doesn't directly pilot. Instead, you can schedule jumps, and manage finances... I think the main reason these aren't available for purchase and use is because fleet dynamics might be comparatively boring to actually piloting a smaller vessel (you'd do, what? Schedule a jump in, and select targets to shoot at? These might have thrusters, but they sure aren't getting used...), the programming (netcode sorta stuff) would probably be horrendous to contend with, and it would skew PVP in a strange direction. You'd have all these small little gnats flying around the big scary wolf- why use anything other than a capital-class ship for PVP? Additionally, these large ships are incapable of supercruise, their only means of travel are hyperjumps and realspace maneuvering. Not sure how fun that would be. I guess it comes down to "these ships sacrifice pilot agency in all fields for sheer strength and combat ability, which would be boring and/or frustratingly fruitless to try to pilot as a player".
