This is ridiculous. Spartans literally react things in micro seconds, 20 micro seconds to be exact. MC once dropped a pin and did complicated math to figure out the ships gravity before the pin even fell to the ground. And MC can literally flip 50 ton tanks like they’re nothing. He has titanium bones, is over 1,300 pounds, and is literally the perfect soldier. Plus, MC has various weapons, including an energy sword.

As someone who's not really a super-fan for either (or anything, really), but just having surface knowledge of both, I would think Chief would be the obvious winner if they went by stats (not by fan votes), right? They're both scientifically engineered super soldiers, except Chief is bigger and just as fast. The difference is Cheif's serum was created in a time where galactic travel and other technologies are the norm, while Cap's formula was engineered before we even had working nuclear weapons. In that same sense, Chief's weapons (plural) would outclass anything Cap has, other than his shield. If some (though few) of Cap's enemies can catch the shield, wouldn't it be plausible that Chief can too? And I think the biggest difference would be training. Chief was born into combat. Cap didn't see true combat until he was already a man. That's almost two decades of experience in all forms of combat he has over Cap. Anyway, just my observations. I'm not too deep into the lore of these guys, so I could be missing/misunderstanding things.

Captain America, he can easily lift a ton, and he doesn't need a suit of armor for help, he know's just about every fighting style there is and then some, he also know's how to use a gun and grenades, and he doesn't need armor to help him do all that. Master Chief, while he is a great soldier, his armor helps him do most of the lifting and jumping at great heights, his genetic engineering isn't at the same level as Captain America's, sure he knows how to fight and shoot, but Steve Rogers has 50 years of experience, and he'll have another 50 years after that due to the fact that his genetic engineering will slow his aging.

In an actual fight not made by fanboys, Master Chief wouldn't even be able to his Cap with any weapons. Vibranium is equally durable to adamantium, though lighter and less dense; it can absorb the kinect force of nearly any impact has reflected every projectile ever shot / thrown at it. Though rarely brought up, the best property of Vibraium, however, is it's anti-metal property: the vibrations it causes at such a powerful, high frequency as to weaken all other metals (other than adamantium) nearby, rendering Master Chief's armor completely useless, and any weapons he carries that contain any metal... All-in-all Master Chief is no match for Cap, not even close... Duke Nukem and Lao Wang would even give MC a run for his money, just off the GP that they're OG's in this FPS shit... After 27 years, we have no idea what his strength and speed are like, as it has never been explored in the novels since, though I don't imagine it to exceed Steve's max while he is outside the armor. On the battlefield, Cortana is able to gather data from local sources (including the Covenant battlenet) and improvise effective battle strategies. John acknowledged her value of providing "intel support in an operation where there had been no reconnaissance." How can Captain America survive the Plasma Grenade Blast? Dude, this is too much, the Master Chief has shields. He could have used his combat knife or a Spartan Laser. Also, Captain America couldn't just kill Chief with his shield. Vibranium is not a strong metal, it is just indestructible. The Shield also contains Adamantium, I know but he can't win the match. You cannot match Chief's augmentations and agility with Captain America's shield. Also, you think Chief's MJOLNIR Armor is so weak to break with a hit from Cap's shield. Surely it would be damaged, but not that much that it would kill Chief. This is way too cheating.

Realistically, Master Chief should have won hands down with by at least the 3rd punch, if not the first 2. Both may be super soldiers, but comparing Spartan II training and enhancements ever since they were children with addition to the suits (That have shields might I add) and further increase mobility, MC would not have been nearly as sluggish as he should have been. If you read the book "Fall of reach" it even shows how he felt like things were falling slower or moving slower because of his insane reaction speed, and single highhandedly took down 2 ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) in a little boxing arena almost killing them, if you don't know, ODST are extremely elite and have achieved the nickname Hell Divers and a couple other names (I mean seriously, these guys make the modern day veteran marine's look like recruits)... CA does not have the same experience as MC even though he is a formidable opponent... It is like Halo 5 when there is a fist fight scene between Locke and Chief, Locke is a spartan IV (AKA a safer and weaker version but it allows for more Spartans) and Chief is a Spartan II... the first Punch from chief should have broken Locke's neck if not the second hit destroying his ribs. Furthermore, CA doesn't even have the armor to take a hit like that from chief in the first place.... [Extra fun things] Chief has fallen from space in every halo game he is in I believe, and he has also earned the title of Reclaimer from the forerunners and Demon from the covenant. This is not hating against Captain America, I am just giving out reasons on why the fight went the wrong way. I like Captain America, but cmon, this is the Chief we are talking about... "Spartans Never Die, They are only missing in action" EDIT: Did I forget to mention that Chief wears a multi-ton suit? Its called inertia haha.... thats cute guys.....

Arceus Ketchum For starters, this fight showed MC wearing his armor. That should give him a personal shield, a radar, a HUD and overall damage protection. He was also equipped with atleast 1 plasma grenade, an assault rifle and even a bubble shield. Those things already give him a huge tactical advantage over CA, who was equipped with only his shield and a sidearm. Next, we have the fact that John is a Spartan II. That means he was abducted as a child and replaced with a clone. His mind was indoctrinated, and his body was augmented to extreme lengths. That's another issue, he should be MUCH taller than shown in this video. He was basically raised and modified to be the perfect soldier, whereas CA was just a scrawny dude who got injected with an experimental augmentation. I don't exactly know the specifics of the augmentations, but I know that the Chief's augmentations were developed atleast 500 years later than CA's. I know they're different universes, but they're both based on our own world, which means that Spartan II augmentations were developed with significantly more advanced technology. They could control everything they did, while CA's augmentation was experimental at best. In both cases, it's impossible to conclude how their stats are different, but when you look at it logically, the Chief should win.

He destroyed the Covenant, the Flood and the Didact. He was raised to be the perfect soldier, and his bones are basically indestructable, so even if his suit didn't stop CA's shield, his own body would've. I'm not trying to be a fanboy or anything, but I just don't see how CA could've ever won this fight. He has a healing factor, but Chief also has rechargeable energy shields and biofoam to help him heal from injuries. Not to mention that Master Chief has enough strength to flip tanks, possesses superhuman reflexes and speed, is a tactical genius, has better weaponry, is equipped with advanced AI, and all that good stuff... The Captain is strong, and has faced some godlike foes, but in this situation, he just can't win.

As a long time fan of both, and a keen understanding of the lore that surrounds both characters, I have to say, Master Chief would have won. Chief is more than a match for Cap. Cap has his serum allowing him an increased healing factor, nearly infinite endurance and high strength and speed, but the Chief has Carbide Ceramic Bones, Augmented Muscles allowing him to lift 3 times his own body weight, which is double the average, nerve alterations making him 300% faster in reaction time, eye alterations to allow him to see in the dark, he was trained since age 6 in military practice and warfare, including extensive CQC hand to hand combat. Chief would simply move too fast and hit too hard, and be too tough against incoming strikes for the cap to overcome. On both raw physical fist fight and adding in all their tech and weapons, Chief wins.

Even if this is a popularity contest, I'm still shocked at how many people are deluded into thinking Cap would somehow beat the Chief with no prep time and standard equipment. Obviously, in a real fight the Hulk would crush the Cap easily because Hulk is stronger faster and tougher. The shield can only do so much. Like you said Cap doesn't really use any weapons aside from his shield, so he has absolutely no way to actually hurt Chief. That ending in this episode is pure BS because the Spartan Armor is built to have to weakness even at the joints. It doesn't mattter how smart or how fast Cap adapts if there is literally NO way to hurt your opponent. Cap could punch Master Chief as hard as he could and he'd probably break his own hand. Cap would only be able to defend for a short period of time with his shield before being blasted by Chief's battle rifle. The shield isn't large enough to cover Cap's whole body so Chief, whose an Incredible marksman, can easily take off one or two of Caps legs. In fact, Chief doesn't even have to let Cap get close to him because he can just snipe him from long range while all Cap would be able to do is sit around and wait to be shot. Even in hand to hand combat Chief is way stronger and tougher so Cap would be able to do anything. No matter how you slice it, Cap can't win.

Once again, Captain America is supposed to a HUMAN at peak physical condition. No matter how athletic or fit you are, you can't just break the laws of physics. Punching Iron Man suit with full force SHOULD break Cap's hand no question. Human bones are about as strong as concrete so they'd crumble in front of steel. MASTER CHIEF WOULD HAVE WON THAT FIGHT! FIrst of all, out of those two or three mags from his assalt rifle that he dumped in Captain America, Captain should have at least been shot once! Plus, Master Chief is not only a super soldier, but he is 7 feet tall, 300 pounds! On top of that, he has ballistic armor and forefields! What Master Chief would have done is grab Captain America by the throat and pick him up off his feet (like the Winter Soldier did...xD), put a plasma grenade on his face, and throw him THROUGH a tree! THAT'S IT! FIGHT OVER! There are tons of other ways in which Master Chief would dominate! Oh, did I mention that Master Chief can turn invisible? Did I mention he has the Spartan Lasar? Did I mention that he has grenade launchers? Did I mention that he has access to Banshees and other vehicles? SHOOT! Master Chief could go all "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" on Cap's a$$ instantly fly up and around him until Cap puked or he finally found an area where Cap wasn't protected by his shield. Or better yet, Master Chief would have just taken Captain America's shielf away from him like a dad would a toy from his 6 year old son, except smash his face in with it in one hit! This is some bullshit. Here's why. I'm ashamed that these guys, and 54% of people, can call themselves nerds. Master Chief has the strength to flip a TANK like it's nothing. A tank weighs in the TONS. And it's not the armor, it's his solid MUSCLE MASS that allows it. In fact, it's because of the Spartans genetically enhanced frame that they were the only ones able to don the armor at all. Which is another point. This armor can withstand extreme damage. See when they were fist fighting and Cap was going toe to toe in their little virtual recreation? Captain would break every bone in his armor just trying to punch the Chief, healing factor or not, while Chief's armor would take LITERALLY no damage. Chief could just STAND there and the captain would break every bone in his body trying to do some damage with fistcuffs. One punch from Chief would devastate Cap's body.

Same with Cap's shield - it has nothing on the Chief's Shield. It would do about as much damage as if it was made from Styrofoam. The plasma grenade being stuck to the Captain's shield was the only valid point, and even that was invalidated because the plasma grenade is literally plasma weaponry, the shield would melt into nonexistence from a stick. Plasma weaponry isn't the same thing as projectile weaponry. That notwithstand, the shield would have no way of cutting through Chief's armor, shielded or not, let alone piercing both his armor and his neck, which again is reinforced by his own genetically-enhanced muscle mass. It'd be a papercut at worst, Cap just doesn't have the momentum and strength to be able to pierce all that in even 1000 thrusts, let alone just one single thrust.

As for speed and reflex, the Chief far outranks the captain in both. They are both genetically enhanced superhumans, the only difference is the CENTURIES of technological and augmentation advancements between the two. And galactus, the eater of worlds, has nothing on the combined might of the Covenant armada, also the destroyers of worlds - or the Flood, the bane of every sentient existence in the universe - BOTH of which the chief takes on DAILY. All that being said, I do give batinthesun props for the extent to which they go to recreate battles

Point number 9 is dead wrong. That point being wrong puts a lot in Cap's corner. Point number 1 doesn't matter cause Wolverine has even more years of fighting than Chief and has lost to Cap. Point number 4 isn't really a threat because the metals in Caps shield are more durable than the one in Chiefs suit. As for the regenerating shields, they can be broken and they take a few seconds to regenerate. Lastly, I've seen that screw attack episode, I agree Doom Guy would lose to Chief but not Cap.

Eamonn Kernahan So you read the books. Whether you read them or not, it doesn't change the fact that Chief's armor is titanium alloy. Is that a strong metal? Yes, it might be the best in Chiefs universe but in the Marvel universe, there exists metals that trump titanium by a mile. Metals such as Adamantium and Vibranium. Vibranium is in Caps shield. Ironmans armor is harder than titanium and Cap managed to break it down with the shield.

Coming from someone who has done rather intensive research on the spartan program and John's feats, hew could have quite literally ripped Captain America apart, even without his suit. And in the suit the chief, or most Spartans in general, have lightning reflexes( talking hyper advanced CPU speed ) and extremely fast and strong motor control. Now factor in Chief's training and skills. There is a minor saying with chief: Drop him on a planet with a pistol and you can consider it conquered.

I'm tired of people thinking that this is how things would really go down, this isn't based on facts or anything like that this is just a popularity contest, some people don't even know anything about master chief, but everyone's heard of captain america. from the things i've heard, read and watched about captain america and master chief, I believe that master chief would win this fight without a doubt. I love the halo series and I love marvel. but cap is way outmatched and outgunned here. there's no limit to how many things captain america can do because he's a comic book character for one (MCU captain america is powerful, but comics tend to stretch his abilities a lot more, which makes it hard to determine what he can actually do, heck at one point cap was a werewolf), and it's in the best interests of marvel to make him overpowered and not let him be killed so that they can keep making money off of him. Master chief is just Master chief, there's books about him and they throw down solid facts about what he can do, he doesn't vary between being overpowered or weak, he just is what he is (and he is very, very powerful) Masterchief and captain america are probably close to equal as super soldiers, but some of masterchiefs enhancements like cortana, his shield systems, his physical enhancements and his suit make him way better than cap. cap has a shield, but MC is a master of all forms of combat, hand to hand, ranged weapons, anything and everything. what military training does cap have, in the MCU all he did was go through basic boot camp. the shield is a strong weapon but not much use against someone like masterchief, who could easily block, counter, or catch the shield. Maybe cap has beat people who are stronger than him, but i don't think his victories against ultron, or iron man, or thor, or even thanos, compare to masterchief's victories against the didact or the Warden eternal, or the hundreds of elites, brutes, and hunters that masterchief has taken out. masterchief goes on operations and destroys huge spaceships, and scarabs, and all types of stuff. the halo games don't really determine what masterchief can do, because some of his abilities can't be in the games for playability reasons. abilities like his enhanced sense can't be in the game because it would make masterchief a lot more OP than he already is. I think MC would win easily.
