Here’s a tip with Ginyu: if you’re fighting anyone considerably stronger than Ginyu (7 dp+), you shouldn’t try to drain your health before swapping. The damage difference between the bodies alone will give you a W.

As a ginyu main the best way to body switch is to do a super dash (the dash where you lock on to the aopponent and dash super fast towards them) then body switch

Use triangle + low and then bodyswap or when opennement is in the ground

Bruh, somebody on the short about Ginyu in S!Z had a good point... in the series, Ginyu can change bodies, then change again. In games, once you change, you have no moves available. However, Body Change SHOULD still be an option 🤔 I'm surprised they overlooked that, cause this game is the most accurate release so far

Well you would have to give the body change move to the person who he changed body’s with, since only he knows how to. However that would be probably just extra to do. So make it to where it locks characters. I doubt people care too much

its because the "change" is meant to be used as your last Ace if you are losing a match, that way you just dont change the character, you also change your life bar (some kind of unoficial HP regeneration) so it would be pointless to change back to your original damaged body with low HP.

There was a DS fighting game where Ginyu could change back and forth regardless of whether he was in his body or his opponent's. The issue is that such ability is too broken.

I always thought that if Ginyu swapped with a fusion character, he'd just swap with whoever was the dominant personality in the fused body. It might even cause the fusion to instantly end, since his ki would be completely different from whoever he swapped with and he wouldn't be in harmony with the fusion partner. If it didn't, it would be ...interesting. Would he just hijack the fusion until it ends or would he face resistance from the fused person he didn't swap with? Would he suddenly have to fight for control until it ended? It's interesting to think about. And probably why he was instantly killed off when he made his retun in Super. Ginyu's body swap technique is among the most OP skills in DB lore ...and it leaves too many possibilities and plot holes if he remained. 😂

I feel like if Ginyu swapped with Ultra Instinct Goku he'd just immediately lose UI, and then Goku would just enter UI inside of Ginyu's body, cause UI isn't a saiyan thing, or even really a "power" thing but seems to be more about entering a certain state of mind

What lost me on the body change ability was the fact you can't use the special attacks. Really kills the fun factor of switching bodies with the opponent outside of health advantage.

Lore-wise it makes sense though. Ginyu doesn't know all of his opponent's abilities when he swaps with them. He just gains their body and it's innate power. That's why when he swapped with Goku (in the series), he actually became weaker. Goku (base form) was actually much weaker than Ginyu. He was using the Kaioken to make up for the difference. Ginyu didn't know this, however. He just saw the power reading on his scouter and went for it. And....then proceeded to get whooped by Vegeta as he didn't know any martial arts, Goku's techniques or how to use any of Goku's power ups.
