He really hasn't seen alot or been through alot yet so you can't expect a someone to be the person they are now to be that way 20 plus years ago especially after they've seen and been through alot of crap.

I went into this movie with an open mind even though I had watched some reviews saying it was awful. I ended up really enjoying this movie. It's not perfect, it's not Marvel's best of the best, but it was still really good, really fun. I loved the twist with Skrulls. I liked how she essentially gets her powers from the tesseract, which helps me get behind her being so OP. Loved the first mid-credit scene. The only thing I didn't like was how Fury lost his eye. That's it. Other than that I really enjoyed myself. Bottom line, see a movie for yourself and don't let anything influence your opinion before you actually see a movie.

Monica Rambeau, aka Lieutenant Trouble, actually went by Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers. They’ve tied Monica and Carol’s origins together in the MCU, but that’s never been the case in the comics. As long as they don’t try to turn Monica into Carol’s sidekick, she’s is going to be an amazing and powerful character in present-day MCU. I really enjoyed the movie.

Spectrum works with Carol A LOT in the comics , and she will in the MCU too & she more famous for being Spectrum than she is being Captain Marvel so they'll most likely just go that route and have her work with Carol in the MCU after endgame cause Spectrum can't be in Endgame cause she would beat Thanos easily

Mr. Jay Yeah I‘m not saying that Monica and Carol shouldn’t work together. What I’m saying is I hope they don’t try to stuff her down into a “sidekick” type role in the movies. She’s not Carol’s Sam/Rhodey. Not saying that’s what they intend to do, but them tying together their stories as they have in the movies has me a little nervous. That’s all I’m saying. And I know that Monica’s current and most popular code name is Spectrum. I don't know the character from the comics, but I did suspect that little Monica was hit with the superhero bug (or at the very least inspired to become something great) and you could see the gleam in her eyes when Carol flew off - she will be a HERO too someday. So glad to know she is a character in the comics, and a future version of her might exist in the MCU someday.

They can't stand it that there are strong female characters who out fight, out think, and out shine the male characters. I loved the movie. I'm not an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to comics, but I was aware that Captain Marvel was Ms. Marvel first. It was still interesting to me to see the origin story changed for the MCU. I was always into XMen, and my real brush with Ms. Marvel was during the AvX event where Rogue gets her powers. From what I understand Captain Marvel IS OP af. So it was nice to see how she realized her own power and go on that journey of discovery.

Thank you for this review. I enjoyed the movie and felt like it was a welcome addition to try MCU. People complain about the MCU being formulaic and then when a movie doesn’t follow a formula they criticize that. My only real criticism of the movie is that I wanted more Maria and Monica. It’s good to finally have a movie where the women are the heroes without being in the shadow of a man.

I really wanted more interactions with them too. When they were convincing Maria to join them on their mission, I was with her - that's a crazy idea, it's too dangerous, she has a kid, etc... like no, not a good idea - but then seeing her fly that jet/spacecraft and prove to herself that she always had it in her to fly like that actually got me emotionally, it was a great moment. If they do a Disney+ spin-off for the streaming service, I hope they consider doing something with these two, both were great.

Also, the part about was emotions was that she DID show them. She lost control when she shot Yon Rogg and jokes with him. They also think that acting requires over the top displays. If I remember correctly Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. is on the crate Tony opens in Iron Man 2. when he's going through his dad's old work. Since we know Howard Stark found the Tesseract while looking for Cap, and work with Peggy (from Agent Carter and Cap.: Winter Soilder) to form S.H.I.E.L.D. We can assume that he worked on P.E.G.A.S.U.S. along with working with Hank and Ben Foster on the Goliath Project. So that would be how Howard came to know Mar-vell. As for as Talos and the other Skrull shape shifting into Kellar and Coulson, I would assume the one that became Coulson saw him when the Agents responded to the call at the Blockbuster. And Talos must have followed Fury back to their operations when He took the other Skrull in for autopsy and saw Keller then. Just my guess.

It is so good to see Coulson back again. I liked the movie but it wasn't perfect. I loved the Stan Lee tribute. I'm kinda disappointed with the eye thing bc of winter soldier. I'm not convinced that captain marvel should be the face of the MCU yet but she should definitely play a major role. I understand why ppl could be disappointed that they changed Mar-Vell from the comics but I think the change worked fine.

Just to clear up something that was said. Maria Rambeau's daughter, Monica, becomes Captain Marvel BEFORE Carol does. Monica gets powers and takes on the name Captain Marvel. She later changes her name to Photon, then Pulsar, and most recently, Spectrum (not sure if she took the name Photon or Pulsar first). She is very close with Carol and can use her powers to make Carol even stronger than she already is.

Thank you fam... Squirrel Girl fan here. If you are a true believer and MCU fan, you'll see it. There are pieces you need... Point Blank Period. I liked it and the hate was nothing compared to all the hype for Infinity War. No one had a problem with Xandar/Nova being a byword at the beginning (throwing everything off, unless Nova will be created as the last survivor); Thanos being nerfed into just another green eugenicist (No Death is the reason, Red Skull replacement, etc.); The Asgardians ship half wiped out, no explanation of Heimdall using Dark Magic to send Hulk (maybe explain why not Thor, Loki could always pop up for some reason), maybe explaining why Banner was all but useless in Infinity War. Too many were nerfed, even though it's Thanos and the Black Order we're talking about. No mention, after showing two versions of cocoon in previous movies, of Adam Warlock outside of Guardians. People were so hyped, as was I, for this culmination but I was disappointed. Like many, when many try so hard to smash something and over do it, i'm gonna see it regardless.

Tbh I thought the movie was good. Was it the best? No. Was it the worst? No. This whole controversy bs is affecting the way people see the movie. It's just another Marvel movie. Nothing more, nothing less. The Stan Lee tribute in the beginning was a very nice touch btw.

I wasn’t really interested in seeing this movie but my friend ended up having an extra ticket to go see it with her family so I said “Hey why not?” I actually ended up liking it more than I thought I would, it was a fun movie. Not the best, but still a fun movie. The best part of the movie was the mid-credit scene in my opinion. I’m more excited for the DC Captain Marvel movie though. I can’t wait until Shazam! comes out!

Not as bad of a movie as people made it out to be. What I need explaining is that end credit. How did none of them not know what a pager was? Cap was the only one who knew that it was sending a message. Everyone else was saying "whatever that thing is" and "whatever that thing is doing."

I guess I missed any of them saying, "What's a pager?" I thought they just didn't know why Fury activated it, who it was supposed to contact or why. Because it's a pager upgraded to do more than what a normal pager would do...and it's kinda bizarre for someone in 2017 to be paging someone in a crisis - especially when the device is not using pager frequencies... or any frequencies the Avengers are aware of.

Jeff Nero I found it a bit strange as well. It isn't like it was this high tech 21 century device, it looked like a normal pager you would have found in the late 90's. The only people that would not know a pager would be Thor and Rocket, since they aren't from earth.

You guys always speak the truth. The hate train...people were bombing the rating of this movie before it even came out or before they had even seen it. Just because of some things the actress had said. If this movie was 100% perfect, they would have still tried this. It's an ego thing for a lot of people. Same with black panther. Because it wasn't something they wanted to see or support, nothing the movie did was right to them. There were more people in this movie than Brie Larson. To do this to the whole crew and everyone who approved, is horrible.

I liked Captain Marvel. I had a feeling the little girl would be an important character down the road. Though I didn’t like how she blasted Yan rang at the end instead of fighting him. I feel like that might come back later, her relying too much on her power instead of skill. I think she needs to see captain America in the ring.

she had no reason to fight him, she would've easily killed him and the fight would've been ass cause she was already Binary by that point .. it's better off to bring Jude Law back later on

Mr. Jay, It still would have been more powerful to see her take him down without power. Because she couldn’t do it in the beginning but if she did at the end it would show she’s gotten better and has more control. I can imagine in the future something might happen where she temporarily loses her power and has to fight with skill. Like how iron man realizes it’s not the suit that makes him formidable it’s his intelligence.
