I gotta say i love this plane. So much so that i bought an identical version in July from XK the A-220 called The Jacky C. But you are right Steve this one has double the battery and flight time as well as range. I may have to delve deeper.😅

Isn't the XK A-220 only a 384mm wing and a 1S? :The XK A280 is the 560mm 2S plane if I remember correctly. That would be closer to the machine P-51D. But the A280 isn't as long a flight time but it is slightly larger. I'd love a comparison of the 3 planes. I love my 400mm warbirds but would like the 2s or even 3S capabilities.

My tip to land on wheels : Point into the wind Quarter throttle Quarter nose down. At the last moment : throttle to zero. Nose back up a touch Preferably on a cricket strip or similar

Nice little RC plane! Im sure you can. I did on the older 1S version. Wired the camera and transmitter off the main battery, cheap eachine goggles, decent results. I just got this plane today, I expect Ill want to fpv it soon, its fun, but you will need a spotter. Wife did that while she videod it from rhe ground.

My understanding is that the 500mm P-51s, being released by several manufacturers, fly reasonably well with the gyro and pitch/roll limits off. If all you want is beginner stabilized flight, the 400mm offer a much cheaper price tag and more aircraft variety. At this price point, you need to be able to progress to fully controlled expert flight. Interesting that the discount code works for Aus and UK but Canadians need not apply.

Simple… any plane that comes with a SPEKTRUM receiver is compatible. So find a plane you want and see if a RECEIVER is included and if it is then see if it is a SPEKTRUM receiver

For indoors you want a less powerful motor. Something that flies on a 1S small battery that has a low powered BRUSHED motor.

Yes, and they are all less than AMAZING for $1000 or more. The reason they are all rather less than fantastic is because they all require a teather cord, they all have a gimble-less camera so they rely on digital electronic stabilization which is terrible in low light (under water is low light). Objects have to be close to see anything of use. They are all affected by water currents (like flying a drone in the wind).

It a seems like a 500mm 2S brushless version of the 400mm 1S Volantex warbirds. That is cool as the 400mm birds are great and i do get about 12-15 min on the 1S. I'm curious as to the difference between this and the E-flite UMX P-51D or Voodoo. Same price range so that would be a nice comparison.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Just my opinion but...so it doesn't have a $10 battery or 2. But I've got a lot of those so not a plus or a minus. Same for another $10-20 Tx. These RTF Tx's aren't really great and no one really says the gimbals are worth using. A better solution is to offer it at a lower cost without a Tx but with a satellite receiver option in the DSM or other protocol that you desire. And it would be less money.

Steve I'm wondering why you remove my comment on banggood? I didn't say anything that wasn't true. They honor free shipping to everywhere but Cannada and the never honor your discount codes to Canadians. They only accept American money and they charge us like 40% on exchange rate instead of the roughly 30% They should. They honor free shipping to US Australia and U.K. but not Canada and charge us $25 for that. They never used to treat Canadians like that now they gouge us on everything. If you remove these kind of comments instead of back us up they will never change. Try telling them how we feel.
