For me your videos are the best. Simple and to the point. Due to extreme problems with my eyes i sold my dji drones a couple of years ago. I had amazing good surgeons who mad me see again. I have the Fimi mini 3 to begin again with drone flying. I am pretty impressed with the options for the price. It aint dji but for its price the mini is goed enough. 2:33 Thin disposable nitrile gloves work EXCELLENT for flying in the cold! I ride a motorcycle well into the fall in northern Michigan and the only way I can do so without cold fingers is with nitrile gloves. And they’re maaaaade for using touch screens! Edited to include that if you have clean hands you can reuse them countless times.

Precision Landing: Double check the Precision Landing setting in sub menu. If it is not checked it wont hit the bullseye. My Fimi X8 always hit the orange/white high contrast landing pad, but is not as accurate on others.

I got the FIMI Mini 3 Combo recently for about 230€. Camera wise is somewhat better than the Mini 2/4K or the Mini 3 (besides HDR) and it includes two batteries with decent flight time. But design, range and transmission wise, Potensic and FIMI are LIGHT YEARS behind DJI, absolutely no contest, Ocusync is in another universe. This one, tho, can rise up to 800 meters out of the box, while DJI C0 drones are limited to 120 meters in Europe (unless you use FCC DJI Fly, which unlocks the 500 meters from USA and other regions). I topped 800 meters this Saturday and it was on the limit of the signal, with a clear sky and mountain area.

In my area of CANADA we are limited to 120 meters (legally) to fly. Most drones sold here can normally go to 500 meters in height, but as you have realized, when you go up, you can’t go straight up or you lose signal above you quickly… so you have to fly forward at least 500 meters and up 500 meters to keep the signal working.

I am now subscribed after watching 3 videos on DJI Avata 2, DJI Mini 3 Pro and this Fimi Mini 3 SE. I am an disabled veteran from Vietnam Era at 68 years old, and started getting interested several years ago. I got rid of the first drone I ever had because I felt I was not intelligent enough. This being said: Is this or the DJI Mini 3 pro a very good entry level person as myself? I would really appreciate your thoughts! And where is a very good place to buy? DJI killed most of the drone competition (on purpose) several years ago, so there really is not much left to pick from. The reason people around the world pick drones other than DJI is due to Price, Features, Import Regulations, Government Bans, and most of all "No DJI Flight Restrictions". So there will always be a mass market for drones other than DJI. I began with DJI in year 2013 and I still buy and own DJI which makes it easy for me to see if the competition is doing well on features and price.

Photos are fine. I took one picture in the review that was shown (looked great). PANORAMIC photos are good as long as you use your own editing software. If you use the FIMI automatic stitching software it is hit and miss (as shown in my review)

Yes, the image quality is better on the FIMI MINI 3 because it has more dynamic range & can film in low light and dull days and still look good.

Another Great Review ! Have you ever done a review of the DJI OSMO POCKET 3 ? I traded a DJI Air 2s for Pocket 3 as it was more suited for recording my Wife's and I, Recumbent Trike rides, and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. I added a inexpensive X Axis Stabilizer, and hand held all shots, and the results were the most stable Trike ride footage I've ever recorded. In the past I've used, my Samsung Fold 4, Osmo Action, and a Gopro Max 360° cameras. I'd just like to know your opinion on this little camera, and see if you have any additional tips or tricks . As always I enjoy your reviews, and value your imputs .

Sorry, no review. Since I have to buy DJI Products (I'm not a DJI Sponsored channel so no FREE DJI products for me to review), I only buy DJI items I will continue to use. Since I am a professional photographer/videographer with high end camera gear, the OSMO Pocket 3 unfortunately has no place in my kit. I did buy the OSMO Pocket 1 and 2 early on in my KZbin career and tried using the POCKET as an additional camera to my pro cameras, and some of my old videos were shot in this way. However, I did not care for the results as the POCKET is more designed as a vlogger on the go camera (if you only have 1 camera), or equally good as a vacation video camera (if that is all you have other than your cell phone). Every camera made that is of a different style has a different purpose so I'm glad to read that the POCKET is working out excellent for your needs! If I was a DJI SPONSORED KZbin channel (90% of DJI Reviews on KZbin are from DJI Sponsored channels that had to agree to DJI's terms in order to get free products), then I would most certainly have had a review of the POCKET 3. But for the immediate future, I have no plans to buy one.

DJI Mini 3 is the lesser version of the DJI Mini 3 Pro which means it is kind of an SE version from awhile ago. The best thing to do when comparing older drones to new ones, is to compare the features because in the end, that is what makes a drone EXPENSIVE.

Yikes… that is a silly comparison. If you just bought the NEO for $240, then that is all you get… The NEO. Then exactly how far do you plan to fly it? 20 meters, 50 meters?… and what controller will you use, because it did not come in the box for $240. And finally, the NEO is not known for its camera quality.

@@MaxSMoke777 NEO is a good move if you already have a compatible ocusync 4 controller and hopefully a more standard DJI drone with 3 axis gymbal to fill the gap...for "drone enthusiasts." It's senseless to buy something with ocusyn 4 built in but be limited to WiFi using your phone. That's 50M range compared to 10k. NEO's price point and size makes it competition for other selfie drones like the Hover Air. I still think it's a great "gateway drug" into the hobby because it's dead-nutz simple and cheap for the selfie-and-follow-me crowd. That's why I disageed when RC Saylors did a comparo between the NEO and some standard Holystone drone. Two tools for two different purposes. Their whole thrust was to bash the NEO because it doesn't come with a controller, has less battery life and less range (because of no controller) for about the same price point. You would be surprised how many people who otherwise wouldn't want a drone appreciate the simplicity of the NEO (press one button, let it read your face and use gestures) and they don't geek out over lack of range nor controller. They don't really care. The purpose is selfies. That's why it sells like hot cakes. My wife isn't drawn to tech things at all, but I think even she wouldn't be intimidated by a NEO.

Just recieved my Mini3 SE after using a big FimiX8 2020 for several years now and being an absolute fan. Did my first flights yesterday, but I really do not like image quality. All whites are blown 😢 is this an adjustment thing? Or do you also see way to bright whites and loss if contrast?

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 EV was auto, and all the rest looks OK for me. Whites are way to bright, almost no contrast. Also in manual I am not too happy with image quality. Was looking for a good Fimi Mini 3 (not SE) deal, but stumbled over an unbeatable Potensic Atom 4k fly more deal (and also saw your review ) 😲 Way happier with this one than with the Fimi Mini3 SE. Hola Steve!!! Tengo una pregunta!! Nunca había dejado descargar mi batería al 0%, tengo el Fimi Mini 3, y hoy lo hice en un vuelo para "refrescar" el conteo y calibrar mi pila. Pero mi sorpresa fue que cuando la conecté no cargó!!! Solo parpadea la luz pero no carga. La batería es relativamente nueva, apenas llevo cerca de 4 meses con el drone. Obviamente no es por el uso, algo pasó cuando llegó a 0%. ,¿Qué crees que pueda ser? ¿Hay arreglo?

My guess is that the chip inside the battery does not have enough power to turn on and control the voltage input. Normally if you fly and the battery is low, the drone lands, but the battery still provides power to the drone (it just can’t fly), you then power it off and let it cool off then charge it and it charges up. But if the drone is not powered off, the battery will eventually run dry and be damaged because there is zero power to run the safety chip in the battery. You’d have to do some research or contact FIMI and see if there is a way to get power back in.

Por lo que no hay garantía ya que ellos dicen que fue un mal manejo de mi parte. Te escribo esto porque pienso que para tu comunidad pueda ser de gran ayuda. Sinceramente no sabía que llegando a 0% las baterías se descompenen, y ya que es considerado un mal manejo del operador, la garantía no funciona. Mi batería es nueva, apenas llevo 2 meses de uso y pues esto fue lo que pasó. He visto videos sobre cómo recuperar las baterías, algunas baterias tienen conectores, lo desconectas unos segundos, la vuelves a conectar y se reinicia, pero en el caso de las baterías para fimi mini 3 todos los circuitos están soldados, por lo que no se puede hacer absolutamente nada. Te paso este dato curioso y desalentador para tu comunidad. Saludos!!

I've had several Fimi drones. X8 2020 SE, Mini and Mini 2. Every single drone arrived faulty and required return to China at my expense. I gave up on Fimi after that. The video quality is reasonable but I've always found photos way over-compressed and if you zoom in at all you get a blurry mess. Fimi are also great at quoting features that just don't exist or don't work like RAW/DNG.

I still say dollar for dollar the Teerok is the best for the money. Yes this has a few more bells and whistles. The Teerok has great video for the price. I would like to see a little more range. But, for the money it's hard to beat.

Come on I know you're joking they're all over KZbin but I've seen several of them there are two different models now the the other models not nearly as good the camera no no GPS the 18s dollars just a great great little drone I'm putting it through his Paces now on my own pushing and pushing it hard to see what I can get it to and not reach the edge and not tear it up and so far it's doing well. Ive told then and I will say here the lights are not nearly bright enough or maybe just set too high. I also wish the range was better. Im still a novice and just getting use to this stage. I do have a question if someone has the time. Do these GPS drones use your phones carrier signal. I ask for the obvious reason how can mine only have a 1600 or so kilometer range and another using albeit lessor quality components but still have a 5 or 10 kilometer range? Thanks...

I just picked up a new x8 Tele. The precision landing is better than any of my DJI. (Mavic 3 pro, Air2 and Air2s) Now the bad with the Fimi Range is nowhere close to advertised,and I live in a very rural area that has a lot of wide open spaces. My original x8 SE from 2018 got comparable, and that's not saying much. Because of the lag in the screen and you can't get the gain and epo settings anywhere near as smooth as a DJI the thing is pretty much a straight line flyer if you want any decent video. Basically the same as they've always been. The camera quality is decent but occasionally you will get a discoloration in the center of the screen. The real bad thing with the camera is that normal/JPEG the colors are pretty good. BUT this a big but RAW is unusable the color science is horrible. It gets a really weird blue and greenish photo that is pretty much impossible to work with. Other than that it hovers smoothly enough and the zoom does work well and has pretty decent quality. Is it worth the asking price well kind of. The main thing it is useful is it doesn't have Geo fencing and there have been a few places I've been locked out with my DJI even with authorization because cell service is very unpredictable here and I have not been able to unlock my DJI. This is where the Fimi comes in. The photos are good enough to be passable if I have a realty job in one of those situations as long as it's not a high dollar property.

Yes, if coming to Canada there may be an additional Customs/Duty cost. What China stores do is they will list the value of the item as $50 $75 or $100, no matter how much you paid for it. This is so that you are not charged large customs/duty costs. If coming via Canada Post, you may not be charged any customs/duty. If coming via a courier like DHL, you will be charged a Brokerage admin fee and small customs/duty charge (total may be $40).

I'm getting a good price on the DJI mini 3 (not pro) but I'm also impressed with the Fimi mini 3 (Not SE even though I'm very impressed with that one also) ... the prices I'm getting are somewhat comparable. So they basically launch a new model, then a better one and finally, checking the competence, they have a clear idea of how much can they strip the original drone to launch a downgraded/SE version.

Regarding your cold hands... buy a pair of cheap gloves used for painting jobs (cotton) cut the fingertips of the gloves you are using flying the drone... and put some glue on the cutting edge of your gloves.... good luck

Hi. Bought fimi x8 mini after seeing your videos. Did you made a video about the "feature" that they kill the battery and not letting you charge it after some point?? It's crazy. 3 batteries dead on same time aprox. And can not charge again. This is a big scam in my opinion, please warn people about it.

There is no such thing. You are probably reading someone else’s stupid comment on some forum. The only way anyone can kill a battery is if they drain it fully… it won’t charge up again, or if they don’t charge it for a year, then the battery dies.
