I miss capt Q so much, but I will say there couldn't be a better person to man the helm than you, Randay. So glad that you're continuing to bring this great content to all of us. Thank you

Good to see you again Randay. What a beautiful simple boat. Hinkley's are a work of art for sure. Condolences to the family for their loss, but i love the picture of him at the helm. Give my best to Cap'n Q. He is sorely missed and i hope he has his health. And finally, thanks for carrying on this channel. You have rekindled my love for sailing and i hope you can carry on showing us some of the old classics.

Yes, great to see the old classics so beautifully maintained. Previously mentioned that out here in SF Bay Area we have a 1961 Tripp Javelin 38 built by Van Lent and Zonen now part of Feadships in Holland.

Hi Randy, great idea but time -constrained owner. Without any doubt, any sailor looks at Hinkley's as one of the most desirable & prestigious boats you could own, and this Bagel Shop day sailor loved your interview. I'm happy he can at least be a good steward, but personally a lot of owners would love this boat so much they would have already gone offshore to at least Bermuda or Florida by now not used it as a day sailor Also, a large quantity of your followers believe other areas are the sailing Capitals of this country, like Annapolis for a great example. I'm taking this time to express some points to assist the ways to improve and grow viewership because we personally loved what Captian Q's personality and knowledge brought to your show. You've got some good ideas so please keep at it, as we sailing people love learning about new items entering the market like new electric outboards and propulsion systems for sailboats, new electronics, and a things on maintenance or improvements to their boats. Hinckley Pilots are great sailing boats. There are quite a few locally (maybe 10 or so), but that may be because locally is Southwest Harbor, Maine. The boats are small below for a 35 footer. Another thing is that you often see a pilot that looks brand new, but was built in the early 60s. The build quality is as good as it gets.

Randy - you just made my day. I spent 3 lovely high school summers crewing for an elderly gentleman that owned a wooden Sparkman & Stephens 35foot yawl predecessor to this boat. Yup the jib boom was there. The only real differences are down below. His boat had a charcoal heater and as I recall the galley was a little different. It also didn't have the Pilot berths. Thank you for bringing back so many great memories of my youth.

Hey Randal- new to the channel and back watching all the episodes. Long time classic boat owner between boats at the moment- I’ve owned two boats in 38 years, my last for 33 of those years .Yes Hinkley is the Lamborghini/ Ferrari/Maserati of the sea - made me miss the water for sure. I’m looking but not hurrying as someone said- you don’t find the boat the boat finds you, which is so true from my experience . Maintenance is quite high- ha that’s the understatement of the year ! But it’s a labor of love !

Great tour of this boat and also a bit of good info for those of us who might want to visit these areas. I also like the jazzy music. Keep putting little Easter eggs in. We all need some humor. As a naturalist in heart and soul I am both in love with the beauty you describe, and the pure human foolishness of the sailing world you live in. Living the boats, the water , and the adventures. When you show the millions upon millions of monies and the opulence in style of the people that spend their lives searching for happiness? I think WHY, why, WHY??? EZL PS I have a fantasy of living on and in the waters in the deep (dark) Blue world you love.
