I Have a Startup LFS and about 3 months ago I ordered in some tank bred blue tangs from my distributor. They were small about quarter sized, but a totally different experience than captured blue tangs. I sold 2 and kept the 3rd for myself. These guys are so healthy and happy in the aquarium environment. They don't seem nearly as stressed by small 29-55 gallon quarantine tanks that I have, and so far have all acclimated well to their new homes with no fatalities or ich outbreaks like is so common with blue tangs. They eat brine, pellet, and nori like crazy, and are growing like weeds, mine is already 2"+ in length. I completely recommend getting tank raised tangs if at all possible, not only for the sustainability and environmental concerns but because they will be much less stressed and therefore hardier and happier addition to your aquarium.

Great achievement. Iwish you all the best in future in raising blue tangs. This is my favourite fish since I was a kid and always wanted to keep one in my aquarium. God bless you and all the best.

What do you distinguish male and female blue hippo tangs? I didn't hear anything about it in your talk, maybe I missed it.

It was since mentioned by another marine breeder that it appears larvae will waste energy chasing foods too big for them, which may have been a factor here.
@Max_Ohm

They can also burn too much energy chasing food too small and/or lacking proper caloric value.

Survival rates? Ooh !! I almost forgot!! Yeah... 50k egg and 27 survivors... To be honest, would you be welling to share years of hard work and hundreds of thousands dlls in potential profits... for free? I guess not... This kind of conference is totally useless , 31 min just to tell you, “don’t do it, it doesn’t worth the effort, I’m the owner of this business💰💰🐠🐠🐠💰💰”...
