I will say that the ohm load will have a difference in output from your amplifier. The 4 ohm driver will have almost double if not Double the power output from the amplifier. Also the frequency response will change with ohm load. That’s why pro audio speakers were 8 ohms due to the frequency reaction. But now companies are see people, especially in car audio want 4 ohm drivers.

A 4 ohm speaker draws double the power from the amplifier than an 8 ohm speaker. But double power doesnt mean double the output. Double power is about a 3db increase. To double output you need 10 times the power

The Eminence speaker has a sensitivity of 94db per watt at one meter and the other is 102 dB. Then there is the fact that the impedance is different and contrary to your opinion that actually matters. The eminence was never going to be as loud given the specs but being different impedance and using the the same amplifier for each you were definitely under driving the eminence in comparison. If you are going to test it should be apples to apples as far as power goes. I am not saying the eminence is better but this test was not accurate. Also maybe you should actually look up the specs instead saying stop using manuals. The specs are there for a reason. You could maybe actually explain the specs and why a speaker rated at 4000hz does not have as crisp of sound as a speaker rated at 14khz and why a speaker rated at 94 dB per watt is going to be quieter then one rated at 102 and why is is even quieter then that because the impedance difference causing a drop in power output from the amplifier. Specs are important, it’s not about I plug it in and it sounds better. Amps should be matched with speakers. Speakers should be matched with the boxes they are in because that matters too by the way. Your test the way they are done mean almost nothing. It is literally I put speaker in hole I turn speaker on I speak about what I think is better with no defined parameters.

Take this as an advice, not all speakers are created equal, some characteristics are always highlighted more than others, some have better high response and others better low which is totally intentional, if you want to compare fairly and more accurately, you need to measure only at frequencies in which the speaker is intended to work.

Its pretty obvious the deaf bounce has a more dynamic range, you dont need fancy mics to tell you that just use your ears.

What you are experiencing is the difference between efficiency and frequency range. To produce the lower ranges materials must be more stiffer and as a result are typically made with heavier materials. The Eminence sounds as if it was designed to be used with a tweeter, whereas the Deaf Bounce was designed as a dedicated midrange. For example tweeters will out perform a subwoofers that’s why the suns can handle up to 5Kw rms, while tweeters typically top out at around 200-400wrma.

I use eminence two beta 8" in ported box tuned to 95 hz, but adding eminence psd2002 horn was a must. Mid bass slams hard and horn gives high end.

I prefer the eminence because it's a sound that doesn't bother your ears and it's a more professional sound with just a horn driver for your high mids.

I'm pushing 2X beta 6a in my doors with a SD3000.1 2ohms. It can handle the power with some good tuning. Very good for loud and mid bass at the doors. Don't compare them with mid range speakers.

This is old school vs new school . Jus keep in mind that the eminence is for line array system and wasn’t really meant for car audio. Defbounce Arnold is design for car audio and was design with a wider range frequency. It’s like a all in one

For better determine of what’s for you, the test had to be done with Both 8ohm speaker Rms spec What frequency rang the speaker is made for andAlso how loud it gets b4 distortion....so not a fair test to me cuz trust me as much as Most eminence aren’t full range they do get pretty loud if u choose the right line for your set up...

Clearly warmer stronger midbass with the eminence with more efficiency in that range. The DB has a lot more high at the cost of midbass... but that's what the tweeters are for man... Focus on midrange and midbass and the eminence clearly has it beat. He should be running it with like a 2khz low pass or with a tweeter and it would be a better test.

You can tell the reason the Eminence speaker is much lower it was designed more on the midbass frequency range. The other is a midrange dispite been equal size. . The Eminence would sound good on a 3 or 4 way set up. As the other design more for 3 way or 2 way. It only sounds louder than the Eminence because it has a higher Hz handling. As where the emence cuts out around the midbass area

ok i just checked both specs and confirmed the Eminence is 8 ohms and Arnold Apocalypse is 4 ohms, that means on the same amplifier the 4 ohms diver will pull double the wattage compared to the 8 ohm driver hence the major difference in volume. You should state that in your video next time.

Eminence can take way more power. It's like your comparing a tweeter to a speaker. Eminence balanced with a tweeter will sound way better. The high frequency is an overkill in the deafbounce when playing at high volume.

i have these both but kinda unfair test that beafbounce goes from 100-16000 kz and that beta might go up to 4-6000 hz has a little more midbass ...if you want really loud put that beafbounce with some super tweets cause they are really some screamers and heavy they even have a replacement cone and voice coil

the eminence is a 8ohm with a frequency range of 95 - 4 kHz as where the deaf bonce is a 4ohm with a Frequency range of 100-14000 kHz. they are 2 totally different animals so no comparison. in order to compare something they must have equivalent specs or there is no point in making a comparison.

I had the hertz desi split front and Coaxial back. DD sub that comes ready in a box. All 6.5inch speakers. DD with its recommended amp but a alpine deck inline alpine booster. Sounded great. Wanted to get the spl show but once I heard the deaf bonce, changed my mind. You think they are better? Into acoustic style radio, tooo much doof doof kills the vocals. I mainly listen to dubstep. Was also looking into getting that sound processor from deaf bonce? How the deaf bonce subs? Auto style Durban where I buy my sound sells them now. Thanks for your advice. Thank you for your videos.

Your right I preferred the eminence beta 6 over the Arnold's they sound loud like a big mid tweeter send the beta 6 my way I'll take them beta to me sound more balanced if a tweeter was added but the Arnold's sound clear but harsh in the highs also not fair if a 100db around to a 94 db beta was competing with each other they test ain't really that accurate around here beta 6 and selenium st200 tweeters outperform Arnold's there out is only from 150hz on up but we are getting our betas down to 80hz but if I needed good mids I preferred the prv ndy you have but if you don't want the beta6 send them to me

The Eminence seems to be more of a midbass speaker. The other more of a midrange that's why it plays the higher level. The Eminence would work good in a 3 way. The other would work better in a 2 way.

Anyone else have some Arnold's tuned with a DSP? I have my low end set to 350hz and have my high up to 12000hz after I break them in I do plan on sending almost max RMS ratings to them. I just want to be safe as possible considering the power and I'm pretty sure I'm ok on the low end but not sure if 2 high of a frequency will damage it as well.

Not to come down on these videos but you're not doing any kind of meaningful test. I'll explain why. -each speaker has a frequency response curve. That already tells you the range its designed to cover. Each car install has to be done properly and depending on location of mid/tweeter, you'd have to select a different driver. So side by side listening full range makes no sense at all. -all woofers will start to 'beam'. The larger the woofer, the lower the frequency where it will start to beam. You dont really want to run any woofer full range unless its 4" or smaller and is a designed full range driver. -measuring overall unfiltered SPL doesnt make sense because that will also include cone breakup which is usually much higher level - and cone breakup is bad and should be filtered out with a crossover so running any of these full range will result in terrible sound. -measure distortion and SPL within the operating range and limit max SPL to whenever distortion rises beyond X value. This way you know which can give the max clean output.

Sorry but that is a meaningless comparison. Mismatched impedances. You have only shown that given the same voltage you get more apparent output with the lower impedance driver (not shocking) and you have shown the the one emphasizes highs and the other the lows. Since neither is a full range driver they will not, or should not, be used without a proper crossover. Add the crossover and then you can asses sound quality. Of course if it is for PSL competition then quality is immaterial.
