Car review: Škoda Enyaq Coupé vRS

The pure electric version of the Škoda Enyaq is one of the best EVs on the market to tow a caravan - a reputation backed up by the fact it has been a class winner in the past two instalments of the Caravan and Motorhome Club's Towcar of the Year awards. Here James Batchelor takes a closer look at the upgraded Coupé vRS version which is the first electric car in Škoda's range to sport the fabled vRS badge.

Yes it will be stable pulling a light weight caravan of 1100Kg when the minimum kerb weight of the VRS is 2369kg up to a max of 2750Kg so at least double the weight of the van featured or less than 50% ratio. If fully loaded it’s closer to a 42% ratio yet this very heavy car can only pull a max of 1400Kg on a 8% gradient or 1200 on a 12% gradiant. So no thanks, I won’t be setting rid of my diesel Merc ML with its equally similar weight but legal ability to tow 3500Kg and easily pull my 1750Kg Swift up mountains (or at least a darn site more than a puny 12% incline)
