I lost many of my friends when I was going through my ED. I just pushed everyone away because I thought everyone hated me. BUT I got through it and have now made the best friends I’ve ever had since starting uni this year 😌

I know how you feel with no friends, I moved from Cornwall up to Devon in the sticks kinda..agoraphobic, depression and anxiety has all literally stopped everything. Im still in contact with my bestie but like thats it I have nobody else 😬 really difficult as people change from who they were as teens to now, many have their own families and businesses its crazy haha x

Awesome video Elzani. Thanks for sharing about your friendships. Have you considered reestablishing some of those relationships now that you're recovered? I bet your friends would love that. I'm sure they must be very proud of how far you've come, and glad you're doing so well. Of course we sometimes do grow apart from friends as we grow older, but we can also make new and meaningful friendships as well as maintaining some ones 🙂

I probably won't even read this comment, because there are so many but I'll try it anyways ❤️ I really love your content. Elzani, I am so sorry for you that you haven't seen your friends in such a long time. It shatters my heart to see the tears in your eyes because not long ago I felt the same. My friends and I are living far apart and we don't see each other very often. Long distances and my ed burdened lots of my relationships and I have barely friends left ( but let me tell you the best/true ones stay 😉) Maybe you should take a step towards them and contact them, I bet they miss you as much as you miss them. My friends once told me (not long ago) that they are really happy I contacted them, they didn't know how to get me back because my ed took up so much space that I didn't even realized their attempts to keep in contact. You did such an amazing job the last couple of months and I really love watching you getting your life back. It feels so good seeing you smile, laughing with your family and simply enjoying life. I know, people who never struggled with mental health problems/eating disorders might not get how it feels but I know for sure that eating/food is just such a small part of the battle. Slowly but surely life feels so much bigger, better and even more amazing than ever before. Things which felt impossible for so long become normal again and there's so much more space in your head which needs to be filled with positive things. Enjoy it and keep going. I know you'll find the most amazing people out there because positive people attract positive people 🍀❤️

You prob would of grown apart from most of your friends even despite of your eating disorder. Life gets in the way, sperate colleges unis etc. It's only possible to have a few good friends anyway, it's not possible to keep up, keep in touch with loads. Your eating disorder is always going to be lost time but try not to look back, your on the right track just focus on loving yourself and good friends will come in to your life. Most people's best friend will be their significant other! Just keep yourself healthy and happy for your future husband ! 😄x
