The release of the Holden VFII Commodore lead us to ask the question of two Holden engineers involved in the Commodore engineering process. Amelinda Watt, the VFII Commodore lead development engineer, speaks to us about how she engineered the incredible noise that comes out of the exhaust and into the cabin, while Guinness World Record holder and Holden lead dynamics engineer Rob Trubiani took us for a lap of iconic Lang Lang proving ground.

I own a 2016 Redline VF Series II, and I'd like to point out a few things. 1)They never fixed the headache causing vibration if you have the back windows down. Ever. Since 1980. 2)This model never got the Drive Mode Selector. The Lowndes Motorsport edition did. So did the Calais Director V8...Competition Mode through the Traction Control system is what they thought was adequate. 3)The Redline has an adjustable electric seat for the driver only. Riding in the front passenger seat is horrible.Major faux pas. 4)Whenever you open a door in the rain water covers the seat inside it. There are no rain guard rails on any door. And lastly.... 5)The HUD housing in the front dash is very reflective onto the windscreen and distracting during sunny days, whether it's in use or not. Same with much of the interior chrome trim. And Holden claim that a billion dollars was spent in development? Don't get me wrong, I love my Redline.....but I would have adored what it should have been had they talked to real, everyday drivers. R.I.P Commodore 🇦🇺 R.I.P Holden 🇦🇺

+2004PontiacGTO I like my dad's vy. I'll admit the shape isn't up to par but when he fitted in his after market body kit..looks fresh af

They could've just given me the commodore instead of putting it in the crusher! I always wanted a commodore but cant really afford one.
