A trick I learned firefighting. When we change the bottle on our breathing apparatus it can be difficult to start the thread. (Just like your rings on the jar). So you can set it on the jar and turn it backwards gently and you will feel a click when the ring sets down in the right place. Than you can turn it in the right direction. It works every time.

I didn't have apples, but did have tons of pears...what we call "sand pears". They tend to be much firmer than other varieties and they held up very well in this recipe. I'd like to try the Caramel Apple Pie Jam when I have some "extra" apples; but for now, I'm loving your recipe and the Caramel PEAR Pie Jam I made from it. Thank you much!!

I made it yesterday, I added apple pie spice 2 tablespoons when I added the sugars. It came out perfect. Thank you for the idea.

Oh my word this is absolutely wonderful! I got exactly 4 pints. I spooned a little over plain oats I had cooked in milk and I was in heaven wanting to lick the bowl! No one could have pried the bowl out of my hands if they had tried! I want to use it as "cinnamon roll" filling next! Thank you! I just love your videos! Always brings a smile and/or a chuckle 💜

Haha just made this while trying to keep a screaming parrot quiet. ( he wanted the apples). Got done with the 1 min boil and turned around to see the box of pectin sitting there. I added it in and brought it back up to a boil for another min. Hope this works cuz I only had 6 apples and one pissed off African grey! Lol

I just made your recipe for the Caramel apple pie jam. I got 3 and half pints out of the batch. I'm so glad I bought a lot of apples. I'm making some more, I can't let those apple go to waste (yeah, sure, lol). It's so darn good. I bought some vanilla ice cream and twisted my husband's arm to try then we fought over the rest of the bowl. Really, really good! Thanks for sharing.

The day I made peach jam, my husband said the same thing Yankee ain't got nothing on that smell. I used a different recipe when I tried the apple pie jam a few weeks ago, my husband put it over vanilla ice cream and loved it.
