That’s such a great idea. I have put caramelized onions ON a burger, but never thought to put them IN a burger. I gotta try that. Those French fried potaters looked good too! Yum!
@CookingWithRy5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's really nice to get that onion taste inside the burger :)

Nice job Ry. LOVE THAT GRILL. We quit fried foods years ago cholesterol crap. Then after retirement we decided what's wrong with eating food we love. Hamburgers and real fries once a week.

Good looking burger Ry. I like the idea of using caramelized onions in the burger instead of on top. I'm also a huge fan of real pommes frites especially if you can fry them in tallow. Yumms. Thanks for sharing and cheers to you and your culinary sherpa.

Tasty looking burger Ry, and those onions had to really elevate the burger! I've done fries similar to this before and it's such a nice crisp on the outside but nice and tender on the inside. Great technique for sure!

Yeah those tender fries are so good made fresh :)

What can I say about this meal? Everything is simply over the top tasty. And it's amazing how blanching a simple potato can elevate it to a great tasting French fry. If you weren't using the homemade dressing you could get away with using a smoked salt on the fries but personally I like your recipe for the ranch dressing! I got to make that for my wife because most of what you buy in the store has MSG in it and she is allergic to it. Thanks! Awesome meal!
@CookingWithRy5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I was even surprised by the ranch since it's more my wife's favorite :)

@@CookingWithRy - Yeah, it's the buttermilk that adds so much of the tanginess. Mom had a BBQ restaurant when I was growing up and when the ranch dressing came out all the restaurants was featuring it as the "House" dressing. Mom wanted to separate hers from all the other restaurants dance she she would cut it with buttermilk. It went a lot further and it added that tang that none of the other places had. Can't count home many times she was asked for the recipe!

Nice cook Rye, I am for sure going to make the ranch dressing sauce for my wife and son to try, they are fans of ranch. Good looking burgers as well. On a side note I am going to take some pics of Holmes City next time I am back home so I can send them to you. Do you have anything that you would like to request? I will for sure take one of the city sign, and also of the old Blade’s Store, which is owned by someone else now. Thanks for your channel Rye. Jay

I very much like this video... the simplicity of the recipe and the minimal ingredients used allow the flavors to be highlighted. Nicely done. Also, I am kind of picky about the fries I have at restaurants and the ones I like are double fried. Excellent job on your fry and topped it off with a homemade sauce!! Will share with my friends. Keep up the good work.

@ceez331675 жыл бұрын
what does the double frying do that the single frying doesn't do?? sorry for the dumb question
@CookingWithRy5 жыл бұрын
In my experience it helps prevent the fries from being too greasy. That quick cook the first time softens the interior of the fries without allowing them to absorb much oil, and the second much quicker one crisps them as much as you like. I prefer mine not too crisp :)
@ceez331675 жыл бұрын

I watched an entire 90-second commercial before your video because it was a fake episode of Bob Ross written by a robot who was forced to watch all thirteen seasons of the show.... It was ridiculous and hilarious 😂😂😂 Wow. No idea what they were selling but the concept was highly entertaining. Never seen anything like it. You gotta Google that commercial.
