Last summer I got 5-6 flats in one week and since then I'm running Maxxis grifters in tubeless conversion. These are my second set of grifters I ghetto tubeless with a set of schrader tubeless valves and electrical tape. For the record, rear rim is a Rant Squad, front in a Haro double wall. Electrical tape is used to seal the rims and to build material under the tire beads before adding Stan's sealant. I can pump them up with a hand pump no problem. I do street and I have 3bar in the rear and 4bar in the front tire. Burp only happens in the front, when a very heavy drop 360 is not spun completely. Mind the fact that there isn't an insert, so hitting stair steps and ledges can be dangerous for your rim. Not a single instance of me getting stranded in the city by a puncture. I will never go back to using tubes ever

I like bike checks, even more so when they're as detailed as this. I know the feeling of hoarding a few of your favourite parts like Primo Stiffies and GT Steely Dans. I really need to try the Momentum tyres sometime. I just switched in a set of the Hoffman Bikes Skidmark reissues. I tell ya, they feel so much heavier than the foldable Maxxis Torches I just came off! I think one Hoffman tyre weighs as much as both my Torches, lol.

I am happier and more productive in all aspects of my life with it. I love crab, sushi, seafood in general, but if I ate it 2 days in a row, I won't want it for weeks.

5:32 I also dont understand why shorter cranks haven't really caught on yet.. I run 140mm cranks from my 16" bike and I love it! You don't really loose levrage and you'll get used to it very quickly. Its actually harder to pedal with 170mm 28-9 than with 140mm 25-9 so yeah I just dont understand.. The main advantages I feel are: easier halfcabs/ fakies/ fast pedalling in general also including crankflips. And yes, easier spins and more pop add to that as well. Once mine break, I need to get the cult juvi 140mm cranks and I literally got no other option :/

The Rnc titanium cranks come that short I believe. Profile makes super short cranks too.

I was criticized to DEATH over riding 3/8 rear axles for Years and now it's coming back.... Too bad I broke my old frame or I'd go back to 3/8s just because it's super light and I'm not doing huge drops any more, I'm almost 40 so I have to be careful. 😄

@@Brant_Moore I’ve emailed Matt before and if I recall the way he put it “it’s not in the cards.” If he were to read this, they at least have 1 customer for certain but that’s not a strong sell. Growing up I knew some people that had the gas pedal, and they were amazing. Once I got a job and I could buy my own parts, I had no such luck as they were no longer on the market and I had to settle for Premium Slims. They’re fantastic pedals, and I certainly am not misspeaking in saying I “settled”. Everyone knows Profile is synonymous with “highest quality hubs sprockets bearings stems” on the market. To have pedals in the mix of that, that would be great. Granted, inflation and manufacturing costs being up as well as shipping, gas pedals I believe were $110-$140 range. They could comfortably charged $150-$180 and I truly believe gas pedals would move at that price point. I know id shell out for a set.

@@Brant_Mooreif they were to see this comment, selling them wouldn’t bode well for me. I’ve emailed Matt two times over the past 5/6 years about gas pedals and he’s stated “it’s not in the cards”. Profile is synonymous with “the best parts you can buy”. If the pedals were in the mix with sprockets, hubs, bearings, stems, that would be great. I had to settle with premium slims. They’re great pedals and I do mean “settle”. If they brought back the pedals at a higher price point, I believe gas pedals could move from $175-$200 whole heartedly. You can’t fake the best. You can’t fake quality. Manufacture them, they’ll move.

Charge whatever you have to for it to make sense, make smaller batches. They’ll move. People are looking for them. A new set just sold recently for $800. People want them.
